Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus feels orderly, inviting, and composed—because someone behind the scenes is making countless thoughtful decisions to maintain that environment.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families who hold high expectations for their school experience. Those expectations reach beyond the classroom. They appear in the clarity of family communication, the sense of security students experience, the efficiency of daily operations, and the speed with which challenges are addressed. This position ensures that each of those elements functions reliably, day after day.

In this capacity, you own the complete non-instructional operation of the campus. You foster trust with families by delivering clear and timely communication. You protect student well-being by managing safety protocols and incident management. You handle facilities, logistics, and operational systems so staff remain focused on students. You also ensure that technology enhances learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-centered position suited to someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and service. If you find energy in problem-solving, community support, and building an environment where students and staff succeed, this role provides real ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating strong connections with parents, students, and staff using proactive, bilingual outreach and communication
  • Overseeing campus safety systems, including entry protocols, health-related incidents, emergency drills, documentation standards, and family notifications
  • Managing day-to-day campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance support, and office coordination
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new staff members to ensure seamless integration into campus operations and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology infrastructure, acting as the on-site technology liaison and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or providing academic support in classrooms
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum development
  • Performing duties limited to a narrow or strictly clerical scope
  • Working within a static, entirely predictable setting
  • Transferring responsibility for issues rather than seeing them through to completion

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so that students, staff, and families consistently encounter a trustworthy, well-organized campus environment every day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study is not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with foundational technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining careful attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English with clear, effective communication in each language
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in operational management
  • Previous experience functioning as a Google Administrator
  • Background in event planning and execution
