You’ve defined a bold academic vision before and owned the outcomes. You’ve led from the front, not from behind the scenes. And when it comes to learning science, you’re not dabbling. You’ve built something real, driven results that prove it works, and earned the right to stand on stage and tell the story. If this sounds like you, 2 Hour Learning is looking for its academic north star.
At 2 Hour Learning, we’ve engineered a model where students learn twice as fast in just two hours a day. AI tutors, mastery-based progression, and a radical departure from conventional classroom structures drive these outcomes. The results are exceptional. Now we’re looking for a leader who can unify execution across diverse school models, raise the bar on academic leadership, and become the external voice of a movement grounded in rigorous learning science.
This is not an academic theory role. It’s a leadership mandate. You’ll own the academic strategy in practice, set clear standards, identify execution gaps, and coach top-tier teams to deliver real outcomes. You’ll translate our scientific foundations into operational discipline and make the case for this model to the world.
Candidate requirements
- 7+ years in academic, EdTech, curriculum, learning product, or education leadership roles, with direct responsibility for measurable results across multiple teams, subjects, programs, or school models.
- Experience directly managing managers or senior academic or product leaders, including setting standards, giving direct feedback, running performance-correction plans, and making difficult talent decisions.
- A track record of improving academic, curriculum, student-outcome, or learning-product performance through clear operating standards, strong judgment, and disciplined execution.
- Strong AI fluency, including direct, hands-on experience building or shipping AI-enabled workflows, content, or products rather than only overseeing teams that use AI.
- An advanced degree in education, learning science, educational leadership, curriculum, cognitive science, or a related field is preferred; exceptional leadership and academic or product execution can substitute when it demonstrates equivalent intellectual rigor.
- The ability to combine academic judgment, cross-subject diagnosis, AI-first execution, and performance management to raise the standard of senior academic leaders.
