Campus Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus feels orderly, inviting, and composed—because someone is handling countless details behind the scenes to maintain that standard.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families who demand excellence from their school experience. That demand reaches beyond the classroom. It appears in the clarity of communication with families, the sense of security students experience, the efficiency of daily routines, and the speed at which challenges are addressed. This position ensures all of those elements function reliably, day in and day out.

In this position, you carry full responsibility for the non-academic operations of the campus. You earn family trust through transparent, responsive communication. You protect student welfare by managing safety protocols and incident management. You oversee facilities, logistics, and operational workflows so teaching staff remain focused on student learning. You also ensure that technology enables instruction rather than disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-centered role suited to someone who values variety, accountability, and service. If you find energy in resolving challenges, strengthening a community, and shaping an environment where students and staff succeed, this role delivers substantive ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Developing trusted connections with parents, students, and staff through consistent, bilingual outreach
  • Leading campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health event response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family communication
  • Directing day-to-day campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and front office workflows
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new employees to ensure seamless adoption of campus procedures and values
  • Administering student technology and campus devices, acting as the primary on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or strictly clerical capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced, highly routine setting
  • Transferring problems to others instead of resolving them directly

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy runs safely, smoothly, and reliably so students, staff, and families consistently experience a well-managed, trustworthy campus environment.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational roles
  • Comfort with fundamental technology functions including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Strong communication abilities in both written and spoken formats
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and detail orientation
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of operational management experience
  • Experience serving as a Google Administrator
  • Experience planning and executing events
