Sports Content Creator   $30 USD/hour

Description

The strongest content doesn't originate from a scheduled plan. It originates from someone present in the moment.

Texas Sports Academy operates an accelerated academic program combined with elite athletic training. Each weekday, student-athletes attend class, train on the field, and work out in the gym — moments that deserve to be captured. Your role is to be there, identify the opportunity, film it, edit, and publish. No studio production. No approval process. No creative deck. Four to five hours on-site each weekday, then your day is complete.

We are bringing on four individuals — one for each location: Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. You will manage social content for your assigned campus from the start, with follower growth and engagement serving as the primary indicators of performance. This is a part-time position: 20–25 hours weekly at $30/hr, weekdays on-site. The work you produce is measurable, traceable, and entirely yours.

If you already create short-form content that captures attention, submit your application now.

What you will be doing

  • Being present on campus 4–5 hours each weekday to capture authentic student-athlete content using your mobile device
  • Editing and publishing content to TikTok and Instagram Reels on the same day — platform-optimized, rapid, and without waiting for approvals
  • Analyzing performance metrics weekly (views, engagement, follower counts) to determine which content performs and understand the reasons
  • Refining hooks, video formats, and content direction informed by data insights rather than assumptions
  • Sustaining a steady daily publishing rhythm without interruptions

What you will NOT be doing

  • Following a content calendar designed by others — you control what gets filmed and published
  • Creating highly polished content that requires multi-day production cycles
  • Awaiting creative sign-off before publishing
  • Working from a desk; this position requires being on-site, mobile device ready, every weekday

Key responsibilities

Develop a rapidly expanding TikTok and Instagram Reels presence for Texas Sports Academy by filming and publishing engaging on-campus content each weekday.

Candidate requirements

  • Demonstrated TikTok and/or Instagram Reels posting activity with regular short-form video output
  • Located in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, or Houston, TX; this is an on-site weekday position
  • Available to spend 4–5 hours on campus capturing content each weekday, Monday through Friday

Nice to have

  • Experience in athletics, youth sports, or educational settings — comfortable working on the ground with student-athletes
  • Proven instinct for trend application — has successfully adapted trending formats to a particular subject, audience, or specialty
  • History of quantifiable account growth connected to a deliberate posting approach you can explain in detail
