Social Media Content Creator   $30 USD/hour

Description

The strongest content doesn't originate from a planned schedule. It comes from being present when it happens.

Texas Sports Academy operates an intensive academic program combined with high-level athletic training. Student-athletes attend classes, practice on the field, and train in the gym every weekday — moments worth documenting. Your role is to be there, spot the opportunity, film it, edit, and publish. No studio environment. No layered approval process. No formal creative direction. Spend four to five hours on campus each weekday, then your day is complete.

We are bringing on four individuals — one for each of our Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston locations. You will be responsible for all social content at your assigned campus from the start, with growth in followers and engagement serving as the primary metrics of performance. This is a part-time position: 20–25 hours weekly at $30 per hour, on-site during weekdays. The content you create is public, traceable, and entirely your own.

If you're already producing short-form content that commands attention, submit your application now.

What you will be doing

  • Being present on campus for 4–5 hours each weekday to document authentic student-athlete moments using your mobile device
  • Editing and publishing content to TikTok and Instagram Reels on the same day — platform-optimized, rapid, and independent of approval workflows
  • Analyzing performance metrics weekly (views, engagement, follower counts) to understand which content resonates and why
  • Refining hooks, video formats, and subject matter based on data insights rather than assumptions
  • Sustaining a reliable daily publishing rhythm without interruptions

What you will NOT be doing

  • Following a content schedule created by others — you control what is filmed and shared
  • Creating heavily produced content that requires multiple days to complete
  • Seeking creative clearance before publishing
  • Working from a desk; this position requires on-the-ground presence with your phone ready each weekday

Key responsibilities

Develop a rapidly expanding TikTok and Instagram Reels presence for Texas Sports Academy by documenting and sharing engaging campus content every weekday.

Candidate requirements

  • Established TikTok and/or Instagram Reels posting history featuring regular short-form video content
  • Located in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, or Houston, TX; this is an on-site weekday position
  • Available to spend 4–5 hours on campus capturing content each weekday, Monday through Friday

Nice to have

  • Experience in athletics, youth sports, or educational settings — at ease working directly among student-athletes
  • Proven instinct for trend timing — has successfully applied trending formats to a particular subject, audience, or niche
  • History of quantifiable account growth linked to a consistent posting approach you can explain in detail
