Campus Operations Manager   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus appears calm, orderly, and inviting—the result of someone managing countless decisions in the background to maintain that standard.

Nova Academy is designed for students and families who demand excellence beyond the classroom. That standard influences parent communication, student safety, operational flow, and problem resolution. This position ensures those elements function reliably each day.

You will own the complete non-academic operations of the campus. You establish trust with families by communicating clearly and promptly. You protect student safety by implementing protocols and managing incident responses. You oversee facilities, logistics, and day-to-day systems so teachers remain focused on instruction. You also ensure technology enables rather than disrupts learning.

This is a practical, community-oriented role suited to someone who values diversity, accountability, and service. If solving challenges, strengthening a community, and building an environment where students and staff succeed energizes you, this role provides substantial ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating positive relationships with families, students, and staff using proactive, bilingual outreach
  • Overseeing campus safety systems, including entry controls, medical incidents, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and administrative workflows
  • Assisting with onboarding and training of new team members to ensure seamless integration into campus operations and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology, acting as the primary on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or designing curriculum materials
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or exclusively desk-based position
  • Working in a slow-paced, entirely predictable setting
  • Delegating issues rather than resolving them directly

Key responsibilities

Maintain Nova Academy as a safe, efficient, and dependable environment so students, staff, and families benefit from a high-functioning, trustworthy campus daily.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities management, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and user account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks with careful attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English for effective communication
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3 or more years of operational management experience
  • Background working as a Google Administrator
  • Prior experience organizing and executing events
