Campus Support Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, approachable, and calm—the result of countless decisions made quietly behind the scenes to sustain that environment.

Nova Academy was built to serve students and families who hold higher expectations for their school experience. Those expectations reach beyond the classroom. They appear in the clarity of communication with families, the sense of safety students experience, the efficiency of the daily schedule, and the speed with which issues are addressed. This position ensures all of these elements function reliably, day after day.

In this position, you oversee the complete non-academic operations of the campus. You establish trust with families by maintaining clear and consistent communication. You protect student welfare by managing safety protocols and incident procedures. You handle facilities, logistics, and operational systems so staff remain focused on students. You also ensure technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-facing position suited to someone who values variety, accountability, and service. If you find energy in resolving challenges, supporting others, and building an environment where students and staff succeed, this role provides substantial ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Developing trusted relationships with parents, students, and staff using proactive, bilingual outreach
  • Directing campus safety systems, including entry protocols, health events, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility management, and office coordination
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new team members to support seamless adoption of campus processes and culture
  • Overseeing student technology and campus devices, acting as the primary on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or assisting with academic teaching
  • Mentoring Guides or creating curriculum materials
  • Functioning in a limited or exclusively clerical capacity
  • Working within a static, entirely predictable setting
  • Transferring problems to others rather than resolving them directly

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so that students, staff, and families encounter a trustworthy, professionally managed campus each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study is flexible)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities management, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology responsibilities including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Solid written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English with clear, effective communication in each
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience managing operational functions
  • Background working as a Google Administrator
  • Experience coordinating and delivering events
