Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, welcoming, and calm—the result of countless behind-the-scenes decisions that sustain that environment.

Nova Academy serves students and families who hold high expectations for their school experience. Those expectations reach beyond the classroom. They appear in the clarity of communication with families, the sense of safety students experience, the efficiency of daily routines, and the speed at which challenges are addressed. This position ensures all of those elements function reliably, every single day.

In this position, you hold responsibility for the complete non-academic operations of the campus. You establish trust with families by communicating clearly and promptly. You protect student safety by managing protocols and incident responses. You oversee facilities, logistics, and day-to-day operations so that staff remain focused on students. You also ensure that technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a hands-on, community-oriented role suited to someone who values variety, accountability, and service. If problem-solving energizes you, and you want to support a community while building an environment where students and staff succeed, this position provides substantial ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating strong connections with parents, students, and staff via proactive, bilingual outreach and communication
  • Leading campus safety operations, including entry protocols, health response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and front office coordination
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation of new staff members to facilitate seamless integration into campus operations and culture
  • Overseeing student technology and devices, acting as the primary on-site technology contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or participating in academic teaching
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Functioning within a narrowly scoped or strictly clerical position
  • Working in an environment with minimal variability or high predictability
  • Passing off issues to others rather than taking ownership through final resolution

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy functions safely, efficiently, and reliably so that students, staff, and families experience a trustworthy, well-organized campus environment daily.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, site operations, facilities management, or comparable operational positions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and user account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple responsibilities with close attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate clearly in each
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience managing operations
  • Background serving in a Google Administrator capacity
  • Experience coordinating and executing events
