Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus feels orderly, approachable, and composed—because someone is orchestrating countless decisions in the background to maintain that environment.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families who hold their school experience to a higher standard. That standard reaches beyond the classroom. It manifests in how communication flows to families, how secure students feel, how seamlessly operations unfold, and how swiftly issues are addressed. This position ensures all of those elements function reliably, day after day.

In this capacity, you hold responsibility for the complete non-instructional operation of the campus. You establish credibility with families by delivering clear, prompt communication. You protect student safety by managing protocols and responding to incidents. You coordinate facilities, logistics, and operational workflows so instructional staff can concentrate on students. You also ensure technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-oriented role suited to someone who values diversity of task, accountability, and contribution. If you draw energy from resolving challenges, supporting a learning community, and building an environment where students and staff succeed, this position provides substantive ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating effective relationships with parents, students, and staff via proactive, bilingual outreach
  • Directing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health situations, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Coordinating daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and administrative operations
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation for new team members to facilitate seamless adoption of campus systems and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology infrastructure, acting as the on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or assisting with academic teaching
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Functioning in a limited or strictly clerical capacity
  • Working in an unhurried, entirely routine setting
  • Escalating challenges rather than resolving them personally

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so students, staff, and families encounter a high-integrity, professionally managed campus daily.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology activities including device configuration, problem-solving, and user account management
  • Solid written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capability to handle concurrent priorities while maintaining precision
  • Capacity to communicate fluently in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability for in-person work in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years in operational management roles
  • Background serving as a Google Administrator
  • Experience coordinating and delivering events
