Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus feels orderly, inviting, and reliable—because someone is executing countless decisions in the background to maintain that standard.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families who demand excellence beyond the classroom. That expectation permeates every touchpoint: how communication flows to families, how secure students feel, how seamlessly operations run, and how swiftly issues are addressed. This position exists to ensure those systems function reliably, day in and day out.

In this capacity, you hold responsibility for all non-instructional campus operations. You cultivate trust with families by delivering clear, prompt communication. You protect student safety by managing protocols and incident responses. You coordinate facilities, logistics, and operational workflows so teaching staff remain focused on learners. You also ensure that technology enables instruction rather than disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-oriented role suited to someone who thrives on diversity of tasks, accountability, and service. If you are motivated by resolving challenges, supporting a school community, and building an environment where students and educators succeed, this position provides substantial ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Developing strong connections with parents, students, and staff by maintaining proactive, bilingual outreach
  • Overseeing campus security operations, including entry protocols, health response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Coordinating daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and administrative support
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new employees to ensure seamless adoption of campus procedures and culture
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, acting as the primary on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic tutoring
  • Mentoring Guides or designing curriculum materials
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or desk-bound administrative capacity
  • Working in a static, entirely predictable setting
  • Escalating issues instead of driving them to completion

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so that students, staff, and families encounter a trustworthy, professionally managed campus each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study is not specified)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities management, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology responsibilities including device configuration, troubleshooting, and user account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining precision
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of operational management experience
  • Background serving as a Google Administrator
  • Experience coordinating and delivering events
