Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, calm, and inviting—the result of countless behind-the-scenes decisions made to sustain that environment.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families seeking a higher standard in their school experience. That standard reaches beyond the classroom. It manifests in the clarity of family communications, the security students experience, the efficiency of daily routines, and the speed at which issues are addressed. This position ensures those elements function reliably, day in and day out.

In this capacity, you hold responsibility for the complete non-instructional operation of the campus. You establish trust with families by delivering clear, prompt communication. You protect student safety by managing protocols and incident procedures. You oversee facilities, logistics, and operational flow so educators remain focused on instruction. You also guarantee that technology enhances learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-centered position for someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and service. If you find energy in resolving challenges, supporting a school community, and building an environment where students and staff succeed, this role provides substantial ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating strong connections with parents, students, and staff via proactive, bilingual outreach and engagement
  • Overseeing campus safety systems, including entry protocols, health-related incidents, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Directing daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation arrangements, facilities maintenance, and general office coordination
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new team members to enable seamless adoption of campus procedures and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology infrastructure, acting as the on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum development
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or strictly clerical capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced, entirely predictable setting
  • Transferring problems to others rather than following through to resolution

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that Nova Academy functions safely, effectively, and reliably so that students, staff, and families encounter a trustworthy, well-managed campus environment each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology responsibilities including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capacity to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English for effective communication
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in operational management
  • Prior experience functioning as a Google Administrator
  • Background in event planning and execution
