Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus feels orderly, calm, and inviting—because someone is consistently managing countless details to maintain that standard.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families who demand excellence from their school experience. That demand reaches beyond the classroom. It appears in the quality of family communication, the sense of safety students experience, the efficiency of daily routines, and the speed with which issues are addressed. This position ensures those elements function reliably, every single day.

In this position, you hold responsibility for all non-academic campus operations. You earn family trust through consistent, transparent communication. You protect student safety by managing protocols and responding to incidents. You oversee facilities, logistics, and operational systems so staff remain focused on student success. You also make certain that technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a hands-on, community-oriented role for someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and service. If you find energy in resolving challenges, supporting a school community, and building an environment where students and staff succeed, this position provides substantial ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Developing trust-based relationships with parents, students, and staff using proactive, bilingual outreach
  • Directing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, medical incidents, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising day-to-day campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and front-office operations
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new employees to ensure seamless integration into campus procedures and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, acting as the primary on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic tutoring
  • Mentoring Guides or designing curriculum materials
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or solely clerical capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced, entirely predictable setting
  • Passing problems to others rather than seeing them through to completion

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so students, staff, and families encounter a high-trust, professionally managed campus each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study is not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Confidence with fundamental technology activities including device configuration, troubleshooting, and user account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple responsibilities with precision and care
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years in operational management
  • Background working as a Google Administrator
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and delivering events
