Director of Employer Partnerships   $200,000 USD/year

Description

You do not wait for a category to exist. You create it. This role is for an enterprise sales professional who can enter an undefined market, educate executive-level HR and Total Rewards decision-makers, and convert a novel concept into committed employer partnerships. If you rely on warm leads, established budget allocations, or proven playbooks, this opportunity is not the right fit.

We are building a new workplace-giving channel designed to fund scholarships in advance of a January 2027 launch. The offering is distinct: employers are not required to allocate budget. The structure leverages a federal tax credit, meaning the conversation is not about competing for HR technology dollars. It is about guiding large organizations to understand a zero-cost method of supporting education via payroll giving.

Your time will center on enterprise outreach, discovery conversations, multi-stakeholder deal cycles, and closings. You will engage with leaders across HR, Total Rewards, Benefits, CSR, Finance, and Legal functions. You will communicate tax-credit mechanics with precision, address concerns related to ERISA and state-level eligibility, and translate buyer input into a more refined go-to-market strategy. In time, your efforts will establish the groundwork for a scalable enterprise distribution model.

This is a remote position based in the US with travel requirements. If you have a history of closing sophisticated enterprise transactions, thrive on generating demand from the ground up, and want your sales contributions linked to scholarship funding at scale, we are interested in speaking with you.

What you will be doing

  • Develop outbound enterprise pipelines targeting HR, Total Rewards, Benefits, CSR, Finance, and Legal executives at large organizations
  • Conduct discovery sessions that identify buyer motivations, decision-making structures, concerns, and implementation readiness
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles for a federal tax-credit-funded workplace-giving initiative
  • Address inquiries concerning tax credits, ERISA compliance, state-specific eligibility, legal assessments, finance approval, and employer launch authorization
  • Document market insights from buyer interactions to refine ideal customer profiles, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market execution

What you will NOT be doing

  • Relying on inbound demand or an established lead generation infrastructure to fill your pipeline
  • Selling a conventional HR technology solution that competes for allocated employer budgets
  • Overseeing employee enrollment, payroll system integration, or post-launch account management activities
  • Executing brand marketing initiatives or transferring qualified leads to another closer
  • Leading a sales organization rather than directly sourcing and closing enterprise deals yourself

Key responsibilities

Build a qualified pipeline of large employers committed to launching our payroll-giving program ahead of the January 2027 launch date.

Candidate requirements

  • 7+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience
  • Verified track record selling to HR, Total Rewards, Benefits, CSR, or workplace-giving decision-makers
  • Documented enterprise quota achievement involving multi-stakeholder buying committees
  • Proven outbound prospecting capability with demonstrated success building pipeline from scratch
  • Capacity to articulate complex tax-credit-funded program structures with accuracy to executive, legal, and finance stakeholders
  • Executive presence and consultative communication skills when engaging senior enterprise buyers
  • US work authorization
  • Capability to work remotely and travel when required

Nice to have

  • Background selling workplace giving, employee benefits, HR technology, CSR programs, or philanthropy solutions to large employers
  • Experience building demand for a new market category or evangelical sales motion without an existing budget line
  • Knowledge of payroll giving mechanics, federal tax credits, ERISA regulations, or state eligibility considerations
  • Career progression from quota-carrying SDR or BDR to enterprise AE
