Description

You are not being hired to "instruct." You are being hired to create experiences that prompt adults to stop and ask, "Wait… a child produced that?" If you have found yourself constrained by rigid curriculums, sluggish approval processes, or diminished expectations, this is your opportunity to reset. You will craft ambitious, authentic Life Skills experiences where productive challenge is the objective, and measurable growth serves as evidence.

Alpha Anywhere is a remote program designed to cultivate life skills in students ages 8–14 through live workshops and authentic challenges—not lectures and worksheets. This position exists to transition a founder-led pilot into a scalable, faculty-executed program capable of growth. You will design, facilitate, and refine the complete cycle. You will launch workshops, develop independent challenges, execute feedback loops, and organize showcases that students present with pride.

This is not a structured, closely-supervised position. You will be entrusted to solve problems, elevate standards, and document successful methods so others can inherit them. If you excel with autonomy, possess strong on-camera skills, and trust that children can manage difficult tasks, you will produce the most impactful work of your career here.

If you want your contributions evaluated by genuine transformation rather than compliance metrics, we want to speak with you.

What you will be doing

  • Lead live, student-driven workshops where children perform the majority of speaking and activity while you adjust dynamically
  • Create independent, standalone challenges featuring explicit mastery standards and concrete deliverables students can accomplish without intensive 1:1 assistance
  • Provide rapid, targeted feedback that clarifies "what is my next step?" and generates quantifiable improvement at scale
  • Refine workshops using data (results, documentation, recordings, participant input) and record modifications so the program strengthens continuously
  • Organize showcases where students share their accomplishments with families and exhibit visible progress and self-assurance

What you will NOT be doing

  • Execute a pre-designed curriculum or deliver instruction from scripts authored by others
  • Dedicate your time to grades, standardized test preparation, or compliance-oriented "checkbox" academic tasks
  • Navigate multiple approval layers before testing an idea, conducting an experiment, or launching an iteration
  • Depend on physical presence to generate energy; you will establish connection and drive on camera

Key responsibilities

This position exists so Alpha Anywhere can scale a faculty-executed Life Skills program that reliably generates "impossible" student results and enables significant enrollment expansion without founder-led facilitation.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience designing and executing at least one complete experience from start to finish (program, game, camp, training, performance, or comparable)
  • Experience engaging directly with students ages 8–14 in any setting
  • Strong virtual presence featuring clear communication and the capacity to establish connection on camera
  • Capacity to work 40 hours/week with 70%+ of your schedule accessible between 8am–8pm CT, Monday–Friday
  • Dependable internet and a professional, stable environment for virtual facilitation
  • Proven capacity to create within ambiguity, iterate rapidly, and maintain a high standard without reducing expectations when students face difficulty

Nice to have

  • Background in experiential design (games, theater, youth programs, coaching, or startup-style development)
  • Experience creating objective rubrics, exemplars, or mastery-based evaluation frameworks
  • Established practice of documenting and systematizing your work so others can replicate and enhance it
