Education Outreach Coordinator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with parents quickly during early conversations. This position is designed for someone who finds outreach energizing, maintains consistent follow-up, and can articulate a new learning model confidently without depending on scripts. If you tend to avoid phone interactions or prefer work without transparent performance metrics, this opportunity will not align with your preferences.

Nova Academy operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that serves students through a distinctive educational model. Students work through core academics in concentrated time blocks supported by AI-based learning, then dedicate the remainder of their day to building practical skills via projects and enrichment activities. Your function is to serve as the first substantive contact for families considering this educational pathway.

Your weekly responsibilities include responding promptly to new inquiries, shepherding families through admissions procedures, and advancing them from curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also act as Nova Academy's representative at community events to cultivate new leads and expand local awareness. During quieter enrollment periods, you will support general school operations while remaining prepared for upcoming intake cycles.

If you seek a position where your communication skills, follow-through, and accountability directly influence student enrollment outcomes, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound leads within 24 hours and beginning admissions discussions by phone
  • Describing Nova Academy's virtual model and enrollment procedures using straightforward, accessible language
  • Maintaining systematic follow-up to advance families from initial inquiry through application to completed enrollment
  • Recording all interactions in a CRM with precise notes, next steps, and pipeline status updates
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment events in Texas or Arizona to showcase the school and gather new leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing inbound leads to remain unaddressed while completing administrative tasks
  • Relying on inflexible scripts or functioning as a high-volume call center operator
  • Participating in events without actively presenting or driving lead generation
  • Devoting most of your time to back-office tasks during periods of active enrollment demand

Key responsibilities

Transform new family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who complete their enrollment at Nova Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Texas or Arizona and available to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or another role involving direct customer interaction
  • Experience working with children or families (such as schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or similar environments)
  • Comfortable initiating frequent phone calls and guiding families through multi-step processes
  • Strong verbal communication abilities with capacity to establish trust quickly
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or digital tools for lead tracking

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification positions
  • Experience organizing or presenting at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Coursework or background in communications, education, or a related discipline
