Description

Financial operations in this role is not traditional FP&A. It is designed for operators who build.

2 Hour Learning is developing a school network structured around speed, daily decision-making, and real-time financial visibility. Reporting on outdated budgets or waiting for business intelligence teams is not part of this function. You will construct the models, dashboards, and control frameworks that deliver the clarity operators and executives require to make informed decisions—every day. Your output drives school expansions, strategic shifts, and execution, and must be rapid, precise, and reliable.

You will manage a live finance infrastructure accelerated by AI. This includes integrated profit and loss models across schools and verticals. Forecasts spanning 12–18 months that remain current within 72 hours. Dashboards that isolate the two or three levers with the greatest impact. You will leverage AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Copilot to expedite analysis and remove workflow friction. You are not engineering systems from the ground up—you are applying existing tools to deliver results faster.

This role is not suited to operations managers who favor established hierarchies. It is for finance professionals who find bureaucracy and sluggish processes limiting. You apply AI tools to increase velocity and expect your models to inform execution, not merely document history. You will not operate from the periphery awaiting approval. You will be central to how decisions are made and executed.

What you will be doing

  • Construct and maintain dynamic three-statement financial models for each school and business vertical, integrating enrollment, staffing, and capital expenditure into unified forecasts.
  • Refresh rolling 12–18 month forecasts on a weekly cadence using current data, and scenario-test potential upside and downside outcomes.
  • Produce executive dashboards operating on live data that spotlight critical levers and support daily, high-confidence decision-making.
  • Apply AI tools to speed up analysis, identify anomalies, monitor variances, and remove spreadsheet friction across finance workflows.
  • Author concise memos summarizing financial risk, strategic alternatives, and budget impact at a board-ready standard, delivered within 72 hours.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Running slow budget cycles or generating reports that go unused — your forecasts adapt with the business in real time, and your analysis influences decisions within days.
  • Policing cost centers or tracking receipts — you concentrate on clarity and oversight, not administrative overhead.
  • Waiting for BI teams to deliver — you create the tools, dashboards, and models independently.
  • Getting lost in irrelevant detail — your role is to extract the few insights that shift outcomes.
  • Engineering automated systems from the ground up — you will use AI tools to accelerate output, not build technical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

Provide continuously updated financial models, forecasts, and dashboards that enable daily decision-making and strategic transparency across a fast-expanding school network.

Candidate requirements

  • Willing to work at least 3 hours of daily overlap with US business hours (08:00 - 17:00 US EST / UTC-5)
  • 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, Big 4 corporate finance/M&A (not audit), or high-growth FP&A
  • Demonstrated experience building integrated three-statement models aligned with U.S. GAAP
  • Comfortable producing investor-grade analysis and recommendations under tight deadlines
  • Experience applying AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to accelerate financial analysis, document creation, and data processing

Nice to have

  • CPA/CFA/MBA certification
  • ERP experience in NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
  • Familiarity with multi-site education, facilities, or operations-intensive industries
  • Experience with board-level reporting or investor-facing materials
  • Experience developing AI-automated dashboards or low-code finance tools
  • Exposure to high-end service environments with rigorous financial standards
