I’m fresh from my travels and glad to have you with me.

Lately I’ve been thinking - what does it mean to be a remote worker? People like us are often put in little boxes. Stereotypes are everywhere!

These one-dimensional perspectives can be confusing at best, and harmful at worst. And they’re completely devoid of the diversity that makes remote work such a force in the world today.

I’m back from meeting Latin American remote workers, and I realized something big.

As long as the world typecasts remote workers as a negative thing, they’ll never fully open up to the positive change we bring. We have a leading role to play!

This limited understanding of the unique experiences and contributions of extraordinary people has got to go.

We are the humans of remote work, and we will not go quietly back to the office!

It’s episode 35 and I’m back in New Zealand this week.

In this one, I share some stories from my travels, and reflect on the diversity that makes each of us an important strand in a colorful tapestry.
