Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions prioritize volume over selectivity. This role is designed to uphold standards.

2 Hour Learning partners with families seeking precision, discretion, and measurable results. We distill a traditional school day into two concentrated hours through AI-driven, mastery-based instruction. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by verifiable data. The remainder of their day is dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. Our model delivers. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your domain.

You will manage the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a transactional handoff. You own how families perceive us, how well they comprehend the model, and whether their enrollment decision stems from genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not maximizing headcount. The objective is ensuring fit.

We welcome applicants from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive concierge services, exclusive membership communities, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen complex, high-value client relationships. What counts is your capacity to execute a nuanced, multi-phase process with discernment, transparency, and accountability.

If you have built your career providing exceptional service where trust, confidentiality, and experience quality are brand-defining, this position will resonate—applied here to work that demonstrably improves outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus role. We are hiring in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Orange County, and Palm Beach. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach to final onboarding.
  • Facilitating consultative conversations to assess alignment before introducing solutions or advising on next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across varied enrollment phases, maintaining clear tracking and timely follow-up.
  • Delivering campus tours, student shadow experiences, and decision-stage discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and model suitability.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable accurate forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional sales methods or high-pressure conversion tactics.
  • Admitting families who lack alignment simply to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a large staff or working within multi-layered approval hierarchies.
  • Fragmenting family experience ownership across multiple team members.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Own and deliver a trust-centered, highly selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and effectiveness of the 2 Hour Learning model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand reputation (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership, or independently operated client services).
  • Proven ownership of a full client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial contact through successful onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family engagements across multiple stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to share specific examples of consultative judgment, including instances where you recommended against your own product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional written communication proficiency with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clientele.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these markets: Santa Barbara, CA; San Francisco, CA; Orange County, CA; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; or Palm Beach, FL.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in selective private school admissions or enrollment for competitive programs.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP concierge services, or executive support functions.
  • Experience designing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency using data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely volume.
