Learning Experience Facilitator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Licensed teachers who want to move beyond managing classrooms and start transforming student lives—this role is for you.

Imagine a teaching position where lesson plans, lectures, and grading are no longer your focus. Instead, you dedicate your energy to mentoring young people to become self-assured, capable individuals.

Unbound Academy redefines education intentionally. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that trades worksheets for experiential learning and prioritizes personal development. Students work through core academics on their own using AI-driven platforms during two concentrated hours each day. The remainder of their schedule is devoted to acquiring practical skills through facilitated workshops, coaching sessions, and self-directed exploration.

Your role won't involve delivering pre-written lessons or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that push students to think critically, create meaningfully, collaborate effectively, and develop holistically. You'll guide them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness practices, and complex problem-solving—all while fostering independence, self-confidence, and executive function skills.

This position isn't designed for educators attempting to recreate conventional schooling via Zoom. It's built for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, embrace a hybrid work model, and support learners in ways that genuinely equip them for real-world success. If you're finished with administrative busywork and eager to pursue the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating engaging virtual workshops centered on essential life skills including communication, creativity, problem-solving, and self-direction
  • Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate confidence, personal ownership, and executive functioning capabilities

  • Working alongside fellow educators to create and refine project-based learning opportunities
  • Building a supportive, energized environment where students feel recognized, challenged, and inspired to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutoring systems manage those subjects
  • Presenting scripted lectures or operating within a traditional classroom framework
  • Evaluating worksheets, assigning homework, or developing standardized lesson plans
