Admissions Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You will serve as the first point of contact for families choosing where to enroll their children. Each email you compose, event you organize, and dialogue you facilitate will play a direct role in whether a family selects Alpha. This position is designed for someone who values precision, genuine connection, and consistent execution—and who knows that careful attention to detail builds confidence.

Alpha is constructing the world's most ambitious school model. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for students and staff alike. Admissions is where that vision takes shape. Families require more than information; they need transparency, assurance, and the understanding that Alpha is distinct in meaningful ways.

In this position, you manage the complete journey for interested families from initial contact onward. You will answer inquiries with speed and care, arrange campus tours and shadow experiences, keep applicant data accurate and current, and help parents understand how Alpha operates and whether it aligns with their needs. You are not simply handling applications behind the scenes—you are influencing enrollment outcomes.

This is a dynamic, campus-based role suited to someone who excels at managing competing demands without sacrificing quality. If you value thorough execution, clear communication, and empowering families to make well-informed choices, you will discover meaningful responsibility and influence here. If that resonates with you, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Answering inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using clear, welcoming, and mission-consistent language
  • Organizing admissions events, campus tours, and shadow day experiences, including logistics and post-event follow-up
  • Maintaining applicant data with full precision in CRM and admissions platforms
  • Conducting family meetings to describe Alpha's educational approach, respond to questions, and capture relevant notes
  • Collaborating with campus and admissions colleagues to ensure pipeline continuity and momentum

What you will NOT be doing

  • Determining admissions outcomes or shaping enrollment strategy
  • Delivering instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Pursuing families with high-pressure sales techniques or scripted pitches
  • Operating in a slow-paced or ambiguously structured environment

Key responsibilities

Deliver a frictionless, high-impact admissions journey that converts inquiry into enrollment while ensuring families feel informed, valued, and enthusiastic about joining Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workflows
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
