Program Facilitator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a hybrid role that requires physical presence in Arizona.

What if your role centered on keeping students energized, supported, and eager to participate—free from lesson planning, grading, or academic oversight?

This position is designed for individuals who connect naturally with young people and excel in active environments. At Unbound Academy's fully virtual, tuition-free charter school, students progress rapidly through academics using AI-powered tools, then transition into live, interactive workshops emphasizing life skills, teamwork, and self-assurance. Your responsibility is to ensure these experiences flow seamlessly and feel rewarding for every student.

You'll serve as the connective layer of the program. You'll oversee transitions, facilitate small group activities, sustain high energy, and provide support when students need encouragement or direction. While you won't deliver academic instruction, your presence is essential to making the experience work.

If you've guided young people through camps, after-school initiatives, athletics, tutoring, or youth programs—and you're drawn to a hybrid position combining virtual engagement with in-person collaboration—this is an opportunity to restore the human element to education.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, maintaining pacing, and ensuring smooth group dynamics
  • Promoting active participation using chat interactions, positive reinforcement, gentle prompts, and individual student outreach
  • Supporting students in remaining engaged, self-assured, and socially connected throughout their day
  • Collaborating with lead educators on operational logistics that enable sessions to function effectively
  • Serving as a reliable, approachable presence within student clubs and life-skills programming

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject-specific content
  • Developing lesson plans, evaluating assignments, or conducting academic assessments
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops without guidance
  • Remaining passive or disengaged—this position demands active involvement and sustained energy

Key responsibilities

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by keeping students engaged, organized, and motivated across all workshop sessions.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to start immediately or at the end of July (one of the two).
  • At least 1 years of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth
  • Educational background within U.S., Canadian, or U.K. school systems (K–16); must have attended school in one of these countries
  • Energizing, student-first presence with strong attention to detail
  • Willing to work in a hybrid role in Arizona.
