Description

You are seeking a system to own outright. If you have directly managed endpoint fleets, SaaS access, and hardware procurement at scale — and you prefer to build the operational infrastructure yourself rather than oversee others who build it — this role is designed for you. This is a senior individual contributor position. No direct reports. Complete ownership.

2 Hour Learning is expanding a new model for K-12 education powered by AI-driven personalized learning. New campuses are launched on a consistent schedule, and the distinction between a campus that opens on time and one that experiences delays frequently depends on a single operational element: are the devices provisioned, are the SaaS licenses activated, are the communication tools configured? We are seeking a VP-level operator to own that element end-to-end across an expanding network.

You will oversee device procurement across Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo; manage MDM and provisioning workflows; handle SaaS accounts and renewals across 14+ platforms; and implement the campus technology onboarding playbook (Google Voice, Zoom Phone, Zoom Rooms). You will establish the standard for how this function operates — the SOPs, the automation, the AI-assisted workflows — and you will be the one executing it.

If you seek a senior IC role with defined ownership, measurable launch outcomes, and the autonomy to build the operating system rather than respond to a ticket queue, we would like to meet you.

What you will be doing

  • Own end-to-end device procurement across Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo — managing vendor relationships, lead times, specifications, and delivery to ensure every campus has what it needs before launch
  • Manage provisioning, imaging, enrollment, and lifecycle processes for student and staff devices through an MDM platform, maintaining accurate asset records across the network
  • Administer SaaS accounts, permissions, and licenses across 14+ platforms — anticipating utilization, renewals, and access gaps before anyone needs to request action
  • Implement the new-campus technology onboarding playbook end-to-end: staging devices, provisioning systems, and configuring Google Voice, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms ahead of day one
  • Establish the operational standard — create and maintain the SOPs, runbooks, and launch checklists, and leverage AI tools to automate repeatable work so the function scales without increasing headcount

What you will NOT be doing

  • Leading a team — this is a senior IC role where you execute the work, not delegate it
  • Working from a ticket queue measured by volume rather than launch outcomes
  • Developing long-range IT architecture in slide decks while launches are delayed
  • Conducting ad-hoc purchasing without inventory visibility, vendor coordination, or documented specifications
  • Depending on someone else to create the process — you define it, document it, and refine it every cycle

Key responsibilities

This role exists to ensure that every campus opens and operates on schedule because devices, SaaS access, and launch technology are fully provisioned and operational before day one.

Candidate requirements

  • Currently located in the United States and authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Willing and able to travel periodically to US campuses
  • Senior-level experience administering an MDM platform such as ManageEngine, Jamf, Intune, Mosyle, or equivalent — owning the platform, not just using it
  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting end-user devices (laptops or tablets) at scale, including zero-touch/automated enrollment, imaging, or configuration scripting
  • Experience administering SaaS platforms across multiple vendors, including account provisioning, permissions management, and license management
  • Demonstrated ownership of hardware procurement and asset tracking workflows — vendor selection, asset registers, refresh/disposal cycles
  • Strong track record of creating and maintaining operational documentation (SOPs, runbooks, playbooks) that others can execute against
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to troubleshoot technical problems or automate repetitive operational workflows

Nice to have

  • Experience owning IT operations across a distributed, multi-site environment with inventory, spares, and repairs managed across locations
  • Strong record of building automations that meaningfully reduce manual provisioning, reporting, or renewal work
  • Experience configuring or administering Google Voice, Zoom Phone, or Zoom Rooms
