Enrollment Associate   $40,000 USD/year

Description

If you can build trust with a parent in the first few minutes of a conversation, you will succeed in this role. This position is for someone who is energized by outreach, consistent with follow-up, and confident explaining a new approach to learning without relying on scripts. If you avoid phone conversations or prefer roles without clear performance metrics, this will not be the right fit.

Unbound Academy is a virtual, tuition-free public charter school serving students with a different model. Students complete core academics in a focused block of time using AI-supported learning, then spend the rest of their day developing real-world skills through projects and enrichment. Your role is to be the first meaningful point of contact for families exploring this option.

Each week, you will respond quickly to new inquiries, guide families through the admissions process, and move them from initial interest to enrollment. You will also represent Unbound Academy at local events to generate new leads and build awareness in your community. When enrollment cycles slow, you will contribute to school operations while staying ready for the next intake.

If you want a role where your communication, follow-through, and ownership directly impact student enrollment, we want to meet you.

What you will be doing

  • Contacting new inbound leads within 24 hours and initiating admissions conversations by phone
  • Explaining Unbound Academy’s virtual model and enrollment steps in clear, simple language
  • Managing consistent follow-up to move families from inquiry to application to enrollment
  • Tracking all interactions in a CRM with accurate notes, next steps, and pipeline updates
  • Organizing and hosting local recruitment events in Texas or Arizona to present the school and capture new leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Letting inbound leads go untouched while catching up on administrative work
  • Following rigid scripts or operating like a high-volume call center
  • Attending events passively without actively presenting or generating leads
  • Spending the majority of your time on back-office work when enrollment demand is active

Key responsibilities

Convert new family interest into qualified, informed applicants who complete enrollment into Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Based in Arizona and able to work in a hybrid role
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or another customer-facing role
  • Experience working with children or families (schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or similar)
  • Comfortable making frequent phone calls and guiding families through multi-step processes
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or digital lead tracking tools

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification roles
  • Experience planning or presenting at community events or outreach programs
  • Coursework or background in communications, education, or a related field
