This is not a teaching position. Your role is to motivate.
If a student reaches 99% of their goal and you're tempted to call it complete, you're missing the point. That standard might make you uncomfortable—if so, this isn't the right fit. But if you light up at the idea of holding that bar because it demonstrates your belief in what students can achieve, read on.
Alpha students complete their academic learning through AI-powered applications. No traditional lectures. No textbooks. You'll spend half your day facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops covering public speaking, focus, and the mechanics of giving and receiving meaningful feedback. The other half, you'll meet with students individually or in small groups, analyze their progress via Coachbot analytics, and drive each one toward 100% completion of their weekly app goals. This isn't about delivering a script—workshops provide a framework, but top performers in this role adapt them and build new ones when they identify unmet needs.
Success in a quarter means every student in your cohort completes their weekly app goals, passes the Test2Pass for every life-skills workshop, and 90%+ report they love you. Fall short on any of those three, and you've fallen short of the role. Year one is about mastering the playbook; once you demonstrate you can maintain standards, you become eligible for Lead Guide, where you mentor new hires while continuing direct work with students.
If you're drawn to traditional teaching, prefer curriculum handed to you, or think warmth and rigor are incompatible, this role won't suit you. If you've coached youth sports, led at camp, tutored a student who wanted to quit (and wouldn't let them), or performed for a room full of eight-year-olds, the final step before receiving an offer is a full day on campus coaching actual Alpha students. If that prospect excites you most, submit your application today.
Drive every student in your K-8 cohort to complete their weekly learning goals, achieve mastery of each life skill, and finish the year reporting they loved you.
