Learning and Development Manager   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • On-site role based in Atlanta, GA or Keller (Fort Worth), TX
  • $150,000 annual salary with weekly pay. Health benefits begin immediately
  • Relocating for the role? We provide relocation assistance

The greatest act of support for a student who achieves 99% is holding the line and not rounding up to 100%.

At Alpha, this isn't up for discussion—it's foundational to our daily operations. Academic content is delivered through self-paced digital applications, not traditional instruction. This model allows you to concentrate on what truly drives transformation: facilitating dynamic workshops on topics like public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. You'll leverage live data and analytics to push students toward complete mastery of every learning objective. You'll also develop the Guides working with you. Your primary tools are performance data, a tested operational framework, and the kind of executive presence that commands attention from middle schoolers.

You will be responsible for a student cohort and accountable for three measurable outcomes: students are engaged and enjoy their school experience, they progress academically at double the rate of conventional classrooms, and they acquire practical competencies for life. Coaching fellow Guides begins on your first day. As you demonstrate scalable results, your authority to shape campus-wide programming expands.

Atlanta: Culturally vibrant metropolitan area with temperate weather and cost of living well below coastal cities.
Fort Worth: Zero state income tax, highly rated school districts, and a family-oriented city with thriving culinary and arts communities.

Uphold the standard. Transform the learner. Submit your application today.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life skills—including public speaking, focus, and feedback exchange—for students in grades K-8, using Alpha's established framework
  • Conducting motivational sessions powered by Coachbot analytics and Alpha's reward structures (digital currency, performance leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal attainment
  • Developing Guides through coaching on adherence to program standards and consistency, ensuring each interaction results in concrete next steps
  • Managing your own cohort of students while simultaneously growing the capacity of other Guides
  • Monitoring student engagement scores, completion metrics, and Guide effectiveness data

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching or providing academic tutoring. Academic learning happens through digital platforms.
  • Creating lesson plans or developing new curriculum. Alpha's playbook serves as your operational foundation, allowing you to concentrate on delivery and relationship-building.
  • Compromising when a student reaches 99% rather than 100%. Maintaining expectations demonstrates your confidence in their ability to reach the standard.
  • Training Guides on instructional methods. Since Guides do not teach content, you'll be developing their capacity for energy management, student motivation, and accountability practices.

Key responsibilities

Execute Alpha's 3 Promises for every student within your level: they love their school experience, they achieve learning progress at twice the rate of traditional classrooms, and they develop practical life competencies.
