The greatest act of support for a student who achieves 99% is to expect 100%.

At Alpha, this principle is not up for discussion—it defines our daily work. Academic instruction is delivered through self-guided applications, not by an instructor standing at a whiteboard. This structure allows you to focus on what genuinely transforms outcomes: facilitating dynamic workshops on public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. Using real-time data, you motivate students to meet every learning target. You also coach the Guides who share this work with you. Your resources are analytics, a tested framework, and the executive presence that commands attention from middle schoolers.

A typical morning may begin with a private coaching conversation with a Guide, analyzing Coachbot data to pinpoint where a student group is lagging. By late morning, you're facilitating a live student workshop, executing a structured activity on feedback exchange. The afternoon transitions to motivational work: meeting one-on-one with students, identifying their intrinsic drivers, and leveraging Alpha's reward architecture (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to re-engage a reluctant seventh grader. You maintain direct responsibility for a cohort, ensuring your own skills remain current and credible.

Three outcomes define your accountability: students are enthusiastic about school, they progress at double the rate of conventional classrooms, and they acquire meaningful life competencies. Coaching other Guides begins immediately. As you demonstrate results that scale, your authority over program quality across the campus expands.

Uphold the standard. Transform the student. Submit your application.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live sessions on life competencies (public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange) for K-8 students, using Alpha's structured playbook
  • Conducting motivational interventions guided by Coachbot analytics and Alpha's reward framework (campus currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal attainment
  • Coaching Guides on adherence to program standards and quality enforcement, ensuring every coaching session yields actionable improvement steps
  • Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously developing other Guides
  • Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide performance indicators

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering lectures or providing academic tutoring. Students acquire content knowledge via applications.
  • Creating curriculum or instructional plans. Alpha's playbook serves as your operational framework, allowing you to concentrate on delivery and relationships.
  • Lowering expectations when a student reaches 99% instead of 100%. Maintaining rigor demonstrates your confidence in their capacity.
  • Coaching Guides on pedagogical methods. Since Guides do not teach content, your coaching centers on energy, motivation, and accountability practices.

Key responsibilities

Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises for every student within your assigned level: they are enthusiastic about school, they progress at twice the speed of traditional classrooms, and they develop authentic life competencies.
