Vice President of Community Relations   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Ready to be the driving force behind an educational revolution? We're seeking a masterful relationship architect who can turn skepticism into steadfast advocacy.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're not just tweaking the education system - we're reinventing it with AI-powered, 2-hour learning sessions that replace traditional 6-hour school days. This bold vision needs an equally bold champion: a magnetic leader who can transform our most discerning parents into our most passionate advocates.

If you're the kind of person who sees resistance as raw material for building trust, who can command any room with authentic authority, and who knows how to architect movements that cascade through communities - we need to talk.

This role is for someone who doesn't just handle high-stakes situations but thrives in them, whether you're turning boardroom tension into breakthrough moments or transforming media scrutiny into showcase opportunities. You understand that every challenging conversation is a chance to demonstrate the power of our vision.

What you will be doing

Your mission will be to orchestrate a movement that transforms education:

  • Masterfully navigate high-impact conversations that convert educated skeptics into educated advocates
  • Architect and nurture a network of parent champions who become the authentic voice of our revolution
  • Engineer scalable advocacy systems that amplify individual success stories into community-wide momentum
  • Create sophisticated feedback loops that catch concerns early and transform them into advocacy wins
  • Lead strategic media engagements that shape the narrative around our educational innovation
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to showcase our transformative impact

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing conventional school-parent relationships or traditional engagement programs
  • Coordinating community events that don't advance our strategic advocacy mission
  • Compromising our educational philosophy to appease influential voices
  • Taking a reactive stance instead of proactively driving the narrative

Key responsibilities

Your core mission is to architect and scale a parent advocacy ecosystem that becomes our most powerful engine for growth, while maintaining our unwavering commitment to educational excellence. You'll transform individual parent supporters into a coordinated movement that amplifies our vision across communities and campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • Austin, TX-based or ready to relocate
  • Proven 7+ year track record of converting influential skeptics into vocal advocates in roles such as Head of Customer Advocacy, Chief Communications Officer, Enterprise Sales Leadership, or Community Relations Director
  • Magnetic executive presence with demonstrated ability to captivate sophisticated audiences
  • Battle-tested experience in high-stakes communication scenarios
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling advocacy communities
  • Expert at maintaining organizational integrity while strengthening stakeholder relationships
  • Passionate belief in the power of innovative educational methods

What you will learn

While you'll bring your expertise in community building and stakeholder relations, you'll be applying these skills at the cutting edge of educational transformation. You'll be pioneering the integration of AI in K-12 education, helping reshape how parents and educators think about learning, and creating the blueprint for parent advocacy in the age of AI-enabled education. This is your chance to be at the forefront of the most significant revolution in education since the traditional classroom model was established.

Work examples

Here's what success looks like in this role:

  • Converting a skeptical CEO parent into a passionate ambassador who hosts advocacy events and influences their professional network
  • Transforming parent concerns about AI education into powerful advocacy moments through compelling presentations that go viral in parent communities
  • Building a self-sustaining network of parent advocates who independently drive our message across grade levels and communities
  • Creating systematic approaches that turn every parent interaction into an opportunity to strengthen belief in our revolutionary model

Your success will be measured by your ability to build a community where parents don't just accept our approach - they become passionate evangelists who drive our educational revolution forward. You'll create a movement where parents confidently bet their children's futures on our vision because they've witnessed its transformative power firsthand.
