Digital Learning Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Consider the challenge of making historical narratives resonate or revealing the intricate connections between cultures and geography in ways that spark genuine comprehension. 2 Hour Learning is redefining the educational landscape—pioneering new methods for students to engage with the world they inhabit.

We are seeking a skilled professional to transform student understanding of history and geography fundamentals through advanced AI integration. If you can enhance learning velocity and render ancient empires or planetary features as compelling as any contemporary pursuit, this role offers the chance to reshape social studies instruction, building stronger bridges to our collective heritage and current reality.

What you will be doing

  • Leveraging AI to create interactive simulations that render historical moments and geographical concepts concrete and lasting for learners.
  • Examining learning metrics to identify trends that will shape adaptive learning sequences, guaranteeing each student's individual path remains both compelling and productive.
  • Producing innovative digital materials that animate historical personalities and international terrain, ranging from time-based virtual expeditions to rich cultural experiences.
  • Working with a cross-functional group of educators and technology specialists to develop novel strategies that transform social studies teaching and learning.
  • Converting intricate historical and geographic principles into accessible, engaging content augmented by AI-powered customization.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional curricula or becoming entangled in administrative tasks—this position centers on innovation and tangible outcomes.
  • Working in isolation—you'll collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals focused on advancing the field.
  • Relying on traditional textbook approaches—your contributions will fundamentally change how students engage with history and geography.

Key responsibilities

Deliver quantifiable enhancement in students' command of social studies material, doubling the rate at which they absorb essential historical and geographic understanding through pioneering, AI-enabled approaches.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis using the LLM APIs.
  • Outstanding communication skills to translate complex social studies topics into engaging narratives.
