Enrollment Director   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions are designed to drive numbers. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely progress faster than national norms, supported by measurable outcomes. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model is proven. But it depends entirely on the right family partnerships.

This is where your role begins.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, from initial inquiry to final onboarding. This is not a role that hands off responsibility. You own how families engage with us, how well they comprehend the model, and whether enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and recommend against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not volume. The objective is fit.

We welcome candidates from high-caliber service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, premium hospitality, executive services, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly managed sophisticated client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If you have built a career delivering exceptional service in settings where trust, professionalism, and experience quality define reputation, this role will be a natural extension—applied to work that produces measurable impact.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus position. We are recruiting in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment process for prospective families, from initial contact to onboarding completion.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate alignment before proposing solutions or advising on next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ active family engagements across varied stages of enrollment, with transparent tracking of status and follow-up cadence.
  • Guiding campus tours, student shadow days, and decision-stage discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the intended audience for the model.
  • Ensuring accurate data entry and updates in CRM and enrollment systems (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who are poorly aligned to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a team or operating within multi-layered approval structures.
  • Distributing ownership of the family journey across separate functions.
  • Working from a remote location. This is an on-site, campus-based role.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the quality and outcomes of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive memberships, or independently operated service businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a full client, admissions, or enrollment cycle from initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family engagements at varying stages, supported by a structured approach to tracking and follow-up.
  • Ability to share specific examples of consultative judgment, including instances where you advised against engagement when fit was absent.
  • Professional-level written communication with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of the following areas: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with selective private school admissions or enrollment in competitive programs.
  • Background in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level operational support.
  • Experience designing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service delivery frameworks.
  • Proficiency leveraging CRM data and analytics to enhance enrollment quality, not simply throughput.
