Long-term role

Campus Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role based at one of our campuses.

A well-run campus operates invisibly. A poorly run one is felt by everyone. This role ensures Alpha campuses function with reliability, safety, and consistency each day.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious education models. Our classrooms operate at speed. Our expectations are elevated. This demands campus operations that are structured, agile, and designed to scale. This role is responsible for all non-classroom functions that enable students and Guides to excel.

You serve as the operational foundation of the campus. Your scope includes managing communication with parents and staff, maintaining safety and security protocols, ensuring smooth facility and logistics operations, and guaranteeing reliable technology access for students and staff. You intervene when systems fail, proactively address emerging issues, and provide steady structure in fast-moving environments.

This is not a limited coordination position. It is a high-visibility, hands-on role designed for someone who excels with accountability, diversity of task, and execution. If you seek work where your choices directly influence student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role delivers genuine ownership and impact.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a central contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver clear, timely, and professional communication
  • Leading campus safety operations, including access protocols, health event management, emergency drills, incident documentation, and family notifications
  • Directing daily campus logistics, from attendance systems and transportation arrangements to facility upkeep and office functions
  • Facilitating onboarding and training for incoming staff to ensure they are operationally prepared from the start
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, acting as the on-site Google Administrator and primary tech contact

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or influencing curriculum design
  • Functioning in a purely clerical or tightly defined capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced or entirely predictable setting
  • Escalating unresolved challenges rather than driving them to completion

Key responsibilities

Sustain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology tasks such as device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with parents, staff, and external vendors
  • Capacity to juggle multiple priorities without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Must be available to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA, Chicago; IL or Fort Worth; TX
