Learning Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

You've already proven yourself—whether on the field, on stage, or in a professional setting. Now you're prepared to channel that excellence into something meaningful. At Alpha Anywhere, you'll coach students to achieve what seems impossible: genuinely enjoying school, accelerating their learning, and developing into self-assured, autonomous individuals. And you'll accomplish this from any location worldwide.

Alpha Anywhere represents the virtual advancement of Alpha's innovative school framework. We combine AI-driven academics with two weekly 1:1 coaching sessions to provide what traditional classrooms cannot: customized mastery, acceleration, and sustained motivation. This isn't tutoring. This isn't conventional teaching. It's elite-level coaching for students who are capable of learning 2x faster—and who need guidance to reach that potential.

You'll partner with students in grades 3–8 from around the world to generate measurable academic progress through mindset transformation, not direct instruction. Your mission is to maintain high standards, cultivate confidence, and transform school into a winning experience. Every session you conduct has significance. Every insight you inspire creates impact. If meaningful work is what you seek, this is it.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting two weekly 1:1 virtual coaching sessions per student, centered on academic target-setting, motivation strategies, and mindset development
  • Hosting open "office hours" where students can drop in for immediate support, guidance, or problem-solving
  • Leveraging AI tools and performance dashboards to monitor student advancement, diagnose obstacles, and refine your coaching tactics
  • Recording observations, alerts, and strategic adjustments to keep each student on an accelerated growth path
  • Working alongside your team to exchange effective practices, escalate issues, and continuously refine the coaching framework

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering lessons, evaluating assessments, or distributing homework—our technology manages the academic content
  • Presenting lectures or adhering to a prescribed curriculum
  • Supervising or managing unmotivated students excessively—we coach with purpose, not micromanage
  • Attending redundant meetings or navigating bureaucratic processes
  • Operating at minimum effort—this team exists for individuals who aim to excel and create genuine impact

Key responsibilities

Generate measurable academic advancement and engagement for virtual students through high-frequency, high-impact mindset coaching within a fully remote, technology-enabled framework.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
  • Demonstrated high performance in any domain—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
  • Strong virtual presence and capacity to build rapport with students efficiently over Zoom/Google Meet
  • Comfortable using dashboards and tech tools to track and adjust performance
  • Able to work at least 70% of hours between 7am–10pm EST, Monday to Friday, to align with U.S. time zones

Nice to have

  • Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work
  • Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families
