Youth Engagement Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

You've already proven yourself—whether through athletics, the arts, or the boardroom. Now it's time to turn that excellence into real impact. At Alpha Anywhere, you'll coach students to achieve something extraordinary: fall in love with learning, accelerate their growth, and become confident, self-directed individuals. All from wherever you choose to work.

Alpha Anywhere represents the next generation of Alpha's innovative school model. We combine AI-driven academics with two 1:1 coaching sessions per week to deliver outcomes no traditional classroom can match: personalized mastery, accelerated progress, and lasting motivation. This isn't tutoring. This isn't teaching. It's performance coaching for students ready to learn at 2x speed—and they need someone to unlock that potential.

You'll partner with 3rd–8th grade students around the world to generate measurable academic results through mindset transformation, not direct instruction. Your mission is to set the standard high, cultivate belief, and make learning feel like victory. Every session matters. Every breakthrough counts. If you're seeking meaningful impact, this is it.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting two 1:1 virtual coaching sessions per week with each student, centered on academic goal-setting, motivation, and mindset development
  • Hosting open "office hours" where students can drop in for live support, encouragement, or problem-solving
  • Leveraging AI tools and performance dashboards to monitor student progress, pinpoint obstacles, and refine your coaching tactics
  • Documenting insights, concerns, and tactical adjustments to keep each student on a rapid-growth path
  • Working closely with your team to exchange best practices, escalate issues, and continuously refine the coaching framework

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering lessons, grading assessments, or assigning homework—the technology manages the academics
  • Giving lectures or adhering to a fixed curriculum
  • Babysitting or micromanaging disengaged students—we coach, we don't hover
  • Attending unnecessary meetings or dealing with bureaucratic overhead
  • Coasting—this team is designed for people who aspire to perform at a high level and create real impact

Key responsibilities

Generate measurable academic growth and engagement for virtual students by providing high-frequency, high-impact mindset coaching within a fully remote, technology-enabled environment.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
  • Demonstrated high performance in any domain—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
  • Strong virtual communication skills and the ability to rapidly build rapport with students over Zoom/Google Meet
  • Proficient with dashboards and technology tools for tracking and optimizing performance
  • Availability to work at least 70% of hours between 7am–10pm EST, Monday to Friday, to support U.S. time zones

Nice to have

  • Experience in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational disciplines
  • Familiarity with homeschool or alternative education environments
