Student Success Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

You've already proven yourself—whether in athletics, the arts, or the workplace. Now it's time to channel that excellence toward something meaningful. At Alpha Anywhere, your role as a coach is to help students achieve what seems impossible: fall in love with learning, accelerate their progress, and become confident, independent thinkers. And you'll do it all from wherever you choose to be.

Alpha Anywhere represents the virtual extension of Alpha's innovative school framework. We combine AI-driven academics with two 1:1 coaching sessions per week to offer what traditional classrooms cannot: tailored mastery, accelerated learning, and sustained motivation. This isn't tutoring. This isn't teaching. This is high-performance coaching for students ready to learn at twice the speed—and they need someone to unlock that potential.

Working with students in grades 3–8 worldwide, you'll drive tangible academic progress through mindset transformation, not direct instruction. Your mission is to set high expectations, cultivate belief, and turn school into a series of victories. Every session you facilitate matters. Every breakthrough you ignite has lasting impact. If you're seeking meaningful work, this is it.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating two weekly 1:1 virtual coaching sessions per student, centered on academic goal-setting, motivation, and mindset development
  • Hosting open "office hours" where students can drop in for immediate support, encouragement, or problem-solving
  • Leveraging AI tools and dashboards to monitor student progress, detect obstacles, and refine your coaching strategies
  • Recording insights, flags, and strategic adjustments to keep each student on a rapid-growth path
  • Partnering with your team to exchange strategies, escalate issues, and continuously refine the coaching framework

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing lessons, grading assessments, or assigning homework—our technology manages the academic content
  • Presenting lectures or adhering to a fixed curriculum
  • Babysitting or micromanaging unmotivated students—we coach, we don't hover
  • Enduring pointless meetings or bureaucratic processes
  • Settling for mediocrity—this team is designed for individuals committed to high performance and meaningful impact

Key responsibilities

Drive quantifiable academic growth and engagement for virtual students through high-frequency, high-impact mindset coaching in a fully remote, technology-enabled environment.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
  • Demonstrated high performance in any domain—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
  • Strong virtual presence and ability to build rapport with students quickly over Zoom/Google Meet
  • Comfortable using dashboards and tech tools to track and adjust performance
  • Able to work at least 70% of hours between 7am–10pm EST, Monday to Friday, to align with U.S. time zones

Nice to have

  • Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work
  • Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families
