Student Success Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

You've already achieved excellence—whether on the field, on stage, or in a professional setting. Now you're positioned to channel that achievement into meaningful impact. At Alpha Anywhere, your role as a coach will be to help students accomplish something remarkable: genuinely enjoy school, accelerate their learning, and develop into confident, autonomous individuals. You'll do this from any location worldwide.

Alpha Anywhere represents the virtual advancement of Alpha's innovative school model. We combine AI-driven academics with two 1:1 coaching sessions per week to provide what traditional classrooms cannot: individualized mastery, acceleration, and intrinsic motivation. This isn't tutoring. This isn't conventional teaching. This is high-performance coaching for students prepared to learn 2x faster—and who need guidance to reach that capability.

Your work will involve students in grades 3–8 from around the world, driving quantifiable academic progress through mindset development rather than direct instruction. You'll maintain high standards, cultivate belief, and transform school into an experience of success. Each session you conduct has significance. Each breakthrough you facilitate creates lasting impact. If meaningful work is what you're after, you've found it.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting two 1:1 virtual coaching sessions weekly per student, centered on academic goal-setting, motivation, and mindset development
  • Hosting open "office hours" where students can drop in for immediate support, encouragement, or problem-solving
  • Leveraging AI tools and dashboards to monitor student progress, pinpoint obstacles, and modify your coaching strategies
  • Documenting insights, alerts, and strategic updates to keep each student on an accelerated growth path
  • Working with your team to exchange strategies, raise concerns, and continuously refine the coaching approach

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering lessons, grading assessments, or assigning homework—our technology manages the academics
  • Presenting lectures or adhering to a prescribed curriculum
  • Babysitting or micromanaging unengaged students—our approach is coaching, not hovering
  • Attending unnecessary meetings or navigating bureaucracy
  • Coasting—this team is designed for individuals who want to perform at an elevated level and create real impact

Key responsibilities

Produce measurable academic progress and engagement for virtual students through high-frequency, high-impact mindset coaching within a fully remote, technology-enabled model.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
  • Demonstrated high performance in any field—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
  • Strong virtual presence and capacity to build rapport with students quickly over Zoom/Google Meet
  • Comfortable using dashboards and tech tools to track and adjust performance
  • Able to work at least 70% of hours between 7am–10pm EST, Monday to Friday, to align with U.S. time zones

Nice to have

  • Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work
  • Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families
