Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A smoothly operating campus creates a safe environment for students, enables staff to maintain focus, and builds parent confidence in the school. These outcomes are not accidental. They result from someone consistently managing hundreds of details each day—with precision, urgency, and intentionality.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. We integrate rigorous academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. This position ensures that the non-instructional operations of the campus meet the same standards as our academic programs.

In this capacity, you will control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities include community communication, campus security, facilities management and logistics, and daily technology administration. Your day may shift from coordinating safety procedures to troubleshooting device issues, onboarding new personnel, or responding to parent inquiries. Your role extends beyond maintaining operations—you will be building institutional confidence.

This is a hands-on, campus-based position designed for someone who excels in fast-paced settings, maintains composure under pressure, and is committed to upholding a high standard of service. If you seek work where your choices directly influence student safety, staff productivity, and parent trust, this role provides genuine ownership and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central point of contact for parents, students, and staff, delivering clear, prompt, and professional communication
  • Directing campus safety operations, including entry and exit management, health incident response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notifications
  • Supervising daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, facilities oversight, transportation coordination, and administrative logistics
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation for new personnel to facilitate seamless integration into campus operations
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, serving as the on-site technology contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Operating within a narrow, single-function clerical capacity
  • Performing routine, desk-bound tasks with predictable daily structure
  • Delegating issues without taking ownership or driving solutions

Key responsibilities

Deliver smooth, secure, and efficient campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or a comparable operational function
  • Proficiency with basic technology troubleshooting, device management, and user account administration
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to interact professionally with parents, staff, students, and external vendors
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities while preserving attention to detail
  • Commitment to working on-site in Chantilly, VA
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
