Operations Coordinator   $90,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role based at one of our campus locations.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A campus operates smoothly when students feel secure, staff remain productive, and parents have confidence in the institution. This outcome is not accidental. It results from someone consistently managing hundreds of moving parts each day—with precision, responsiveness, and diligence.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most forward-thinking educational models. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for both students and staff. This position exists to guarantee that the operational dimension of the campus meets the same excellence as our academic programs.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities include community engagement, campus security, facility coordination, and everyday technology management. At any given time, you might be organizing a safety exercise, troubleshooting a technical problem, facilitating a new hire's transition, or responding to a parent inquiry. You do more than maintain operations—you build trust and reliability.

This is a practical, location-based role suited to someone who excels in fast-paced settings, remains composed during challenges, and is committed to upholding a superior standard of service. If you seek a position where your actions directly influence student safety, staff productivity, and parent confidence, this role provides genuine accountability and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a key communication contact for parents, students, and staff, delivering clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Coordinating campus security functions, including entry management, medical incidents, emergency procedures, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising day-to-day campus functions such as attendance tracking, facility management, transportation logistics, and administrative operations
  • Assisting with the onboarding and orientation of new personnel to facilitate seamless operational integration
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, functioning as the on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or participating in curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, single-task administrative capacity
  • Performing routine, unchanging duties from a desk
  • Escalating issues without taking responsibility or driving resolution

Key responsibilities

Deliver smooth, secure, and effective campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and confidence of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in office management, facility coordination, on-site operations, or comparable operational function
  • Proficiency in fundamental technology support, device oversight, and user account administration
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the capacity to interact effectively with parents, staff, students, and external partners
  • Capability to juggle multiple responsibilities while preserving accuracy and thoroughness
  • Available to work on-site at one of our campus locations: Greenwich, CT; Santa Barbara, CA; Malibu, CA; Boston, MA; Kirkland, WA; South Bay, CA — or prepared to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
