Operations Coordinator   $90,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A well-run campus means students experience security, staff maintain concentration, and parents place their trust in the institution. This outcome is not accidental. It is the result of someone carefully managing hundreds of daily details—with precision, responsiveness, and attention.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven learning, and elevated standards for both students and adults. This position exists to ensure campus operations outside the classroom meet the same caliber as our academic programs.

In this position, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities span community communication, campus security, facilities and logistics, and day-to-day technology administration. At any given moment, you might be organizing a safety drill, troubleshooting a device problem, integrating a new staff member, or responding to a parent inquiry. Your work extends beyond maintaining operations—you are establishing trust.

This is a practical, on-site position designed for someone who excels in fast-paced settings, remains composed under pressure, and values delivering exceptional service. If you seek work where your choices directly influence student safety, staff productivity, and parental confidence, this role provides genuine accountability and impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central contact for parents, students, and staff, providing clear, prompt, and professional communication
  • Overseeing campus safety functions, including entry control, health events, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Managing daily campus functions such as attendance systems, facility coordination, transportation logistics, and front-office operations
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation for new employees to facilitate seamless integration into campus operations
  • Administering student devices and campus technology, serving as the on-site technical liaison and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or managing academic content
  • Mentoring Guides or driving curriculum design
  • Operating in a limited, single-task administrative capacity
  • Remaining stationary with uniform, routine assignments
  • Delegating issues without taking ownership or seeing them through

Key responsibilities

Deliver smooth, secure, and effective campus operations that consistently enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or a similar operational role
  • Comfort with basic technology troubleshooting, device management, and account administration
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage parents, staff, students, and vendors professionally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Available to work in-person in one of our campuses: Greenwich, CT; Bethesda, MD; Malibu, CA; Boston, MA; Kirkland, WA; South Bay, CA — or willing to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
