Campus Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions properly. A campus that operates smoothly creates an environment where students feel secure, staff remain productive, and families have confidence in the institution. This outcome is never accidental. It results from someone coordinating countless details each day—with precision, responsiveness, and dedication.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school models. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for both students and faculty. This position ensures the non-instructional aspects of campus life meet the same excellence standards we uphold in our classrooms.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities include community relations, campus security, facility management, logistics coordination, and daily technology administration. At any given moment, you might oversee a safety exercise, troubleshoot a hardware problem, support a new team member through onboarding, or respond to a family inquiry. Your role extends beyond maintenance—you build institutional credibility.

This is a practical, on-campus position designed for someone who excels in fluid settings, maintains composure during challenges, and values delivering exceptional service standards. If you seek work where your choices meaningfully influence student safety, staff productivity, and parent confidence, this role provides genuine authority and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a key liaison for families, students, and personnel, providing clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Directing campus security functions, including entry protocols, medical situations, emergency exercises, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising routine campus activities such as attendance tracking, facility arrangements, transit coordination, and administrative workflows
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for incoming staff to guarantee seamless adoption of operational procedures
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, functioning as the on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Operating in a limited, single-purpose clerical capacity
  • Remaining stationary with uniform, routine assignments
  • Transferring issues to others without accountability or follow-through

Key responsibilities

Maintain efficient, secure, and well-organized campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and confidence of students, personnel, and families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative coordination, facility operations, site management, or comparable operational function
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology diagnostics, device oversight, and user account administration
  • Excellent communication capabilities with capacity to interact professionally with families, colleagues, students, and external partners
  • Capability to balance competing priorities while preserving precision and accuracy
  • Commitment to on-site presence in Chantilly, VA
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
