School Operations Coordinator   $90,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role based at one of our campuses.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A well-run campus fosters student safety, enables staff to remain productive, and builds parent confidence. This outcome is not accidental. It requires someone to coordinate hundreds of moving parts daily—with precision, responsiveness, and intentionality.

Alpha is developing one of the most forward-thinking school models globally. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. This position exists to maintain the operational side of the campus at the same level of excellence as our academic programs.

In this position, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities include community engagement, campus security, facilities management, logistics coordination, and daily technology support. At any given time, you might be organizing a safety protocol, troubleshooting a tech issue, integrating a new hire, or responding to a family inquiry. Your work goes beyond maintenance—you build institutional trust.

This is a practical, on-site position designed for someone who excels in fast-paced settings, remains composed during challenges, and is committed to upholding rigorous service standards. If you seek work where your actions meaningfully influence student safety, staff performance, and family confidence, this role delivers genuine responsibility and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a key contact for families, students, and team members, delivering clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Overseeing campus security functions, including entry protocols, health events, emergency procedures, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Coordinating day-to-day campus functions such as attendance tracking, facility management, transit arrangements, and administrative logistics
  • Facilitating orientation and training for incoming staff to ensure seamless assimilation into campus routines
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, functioning as the on-site technical point person and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curricular design
  • Operating within a limited, single-task clerical capacity
  • Remaining desk-bound with routine, unchanging duties
  • Escalating issues without taking accountability or seeing them through

Key responsibilities

Deliver smooth, secure, and effective campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, staff, and families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office management, facility operations, site coordination, or comparable operational capacity
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology diagnostics, device oversight, and user account administration
  • Excellent communication abilities with capacity to interact professionally with families, colleagues, students, and external partners
  • Capacity to juggle competing demands while sustaining precision and thoroughness
  • Available to work on-site at one of our locations: Greenwich, CT; Santa Barbara, CA; Malibu, CA; Boston, MA; Kirkland, WA; South Bay, CA — or open to relocation
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
