School Operations Coordinator   $90,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

You ensure everything functions as it should. A smoothly operating campus means students feel secure, staff remain productive, and parents maintain confidence in the school. This outcome is never automatic. It results from someone managing countless moving parts each day—with precision, speed, and thoughtfulness.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for both students and staff. This position ensures that the operational dimension of the campus performs to the same caliber as our academic programs.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. You oversee community outreach, safety protocols, facilities management, logistics, and daily technology support. At any given time, you might be leading a safety exercise, troubleshooting a device, welcoming a new team member, or resolving a parent inquiry. Your work extends beyond maintenance—you build institutional trust.

This is a practical, on-campus position suited to someone who excels in fast-moving settings, remains composed during challenges, and is committed to upholding exceptional service standards. If you seek a role where your choices directly influence student safety, staff productivity, and family confidence, this position delivers meaningful responsibility and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a key liaison for parents, students, and staff, delivering clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Directing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus functions including attendance tracking, facilities management, transportation logistics, and administrative workflow
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation of new personnel to facilitate seamless operational integration
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, serving as on-site technical support and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or directing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, single-task administrative capacity
  • Performing routine, desk-bound work with uniform daily responsibilities
  • Redirecting issues to others without taking accountability or seeing them through

Key responsibilities

Deliver smooth, secure, and effective campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and confidence of students, staff, and parents.

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or a similar operational role

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Available to work in-person in one of our campuses: Greenwich, CT; Bethesda, MD; Malibu, CA; Boston, MA; Kirkland, WA; South Bay, CA — or willing to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
