Virtual Student Mentor   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Licensed teachers seeking to move beyond traditional classroom management and focus on transformative student mentorship are encouraged to apply.

Imagine a role where lesson planning, lecture delivery, and grading no longer define your day—replaced instead by dedicated mentoring that helps young people develop into self-assured, capable individuals.

Unbound Academy has redesigned what teaching means. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school where worksheets give way to experiential learning and personal development takes priority. Core academic work is completed independently by students using AI-powered platforms in just two hours daily. The remainder of their time is devoted to acquiring practical skills through facilitated workshops, personalized coaching, and exploratory activities.

Your role will not involve delivering scripted content or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that push students to think critically, innovate, collaborate, and mature. Your mentorship will span storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and critical thinking—all while fostering independence, self-confidence, and executive function skills.

This opportunity is not suited for educators attempting to recreate conventional schooling via Zoom. It is designed for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, embrace a hybrid working model, and guide students in ways that genuinely equip them for real-world success. If you're finished with administrative busywork and ready to pursue the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue reading.
