Youth Development Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Licensed educators seeking to shift from managing classrooms to transforming student lives are invited to explore this opportunity.

Imagine a teaching role free from lesson planning, lecturing, and grading—one centered exclusively on mentoring young people to become self-assured, capable individuals.

Unbound Academy redefines education through intentional design. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that trades worksheets for experiential learning and prioritizes personal development. Students independently complete core academics using AI-powered platforms within two concentrated hours daily. The remainder of their time is dedicated to cultivating practical skills through structured workshops, personalized coaching, and guided discovery.

You will not deliver scripted curricula or monitor a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that inspire students to think critically, create, collaborate, and mature. Your mentorship will span storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and analytical reasoning while fostering independence, self-confidence, and executive functioning.

This position is not intended for educators attempting to replicate conventional schooling via Zoom. It seeks licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, operate in a hybrid capacity, and equip students with tools that genuinely prepare them for adult life. If classroom busywork no longer fulfills you and you're prepared for the most impactful work of your professional life, continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating engaging virtual workshops centered on essential life competencies including communication, creativity, analytical thinking, and self-management
  • Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate confidence, accountability, and executive functioning skills
  • Leveraging platform analytics and student feedback to tailor support and monitor development trajectories
  • Partnering with peer educators to create and refine project-based learning frameworks
  • Establishing a secure, energizing atmosphere where students feel acknowledged, challenged, and inspired to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutors fulfill this function
  • Presenting scripted lectures or operating within a conventional classroom framework
  • Evaluating worksheets, distributing homework, or developing standardized lesson plans

Drive student development and life preparedness by facilitating transformative, applied learning experiences within a hybrid, fully virtual educational model.
