Student Success Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Licensed teachers ready to trade classroom management for life-changing mentorship belong here.

Imagine stepping away from lesson plans, lectures, and grading to focus your energy entirely on coaching young people toward confidence and capability.

Unbound Academy redefines teaching through intentional design. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that replaces worksheets with experiential learning and centers personal development. Students handle core academics independently in two concentrated hours daily using AI-powered platforms. Their remaining time is dedicated to developing tangible skills through facilitated workshops, coaching, and discovery.

Your role will not involve delivering scripted content or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that push students to think critically, innovate, collaborate, and evolve. You'll guide them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and critical thinking while nurturing independence, self-assurance, and executive capabilities.

This position does not suit educators attempting to recreate conventional schooling via Zoom. It requires licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, operate within a hybrid framework, and equip students in ways that genuinely prepare them for real-world challenges. If you've exhausted classroom administrative tasks and seek the most impactful work of your professional life, continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating engaging virtual workshops centered on essential life competencies including communication, creativity, critical thinking, and self-management
  • Coaching students individually and in intimate groups to cultivate confidence, accountability, and executive function skills
  • Leveraging platform analytics and student indicators to tailor support and monitor development trajectories
  • Partnering with peer educators to develop and refine project-driven learning opportunities
  • Establishing a secure, energizing space where students feel recognized, stretched, and inspired to advance

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutors manage those subjects
  • Presenting scripted lessons or operating within a conventional classroom structure
  • Evaluating worksheets, distributing homework, or constructing standardized lesson frameworks

Key responsibilities

Advance student development and life preparedness by facilitating transformative, practical learning experiences within a hybrid, fully virtual educational model.

  • Educated (K–16) within the U.S., Canada, or U.K. school systems
