Virtual Learning Facilitator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Licensed educators ready to shift from managing classrooms to transforming student lives should read on.

Imagine a role where lesson plans, lectures, and grading take a back seat—and your primary focus becomes mentoring young people into confident, capable individuals.

Unbound Academy reimagines teaching through a hybrid position within a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school. Traditional worksheets give way to experiential learning, with personal development anchoring the experience. Students handle core academics on their own in two concentrated daily hours using AI-powered platforms. The remainder of their day centers on cultivating practical skills via facilitated workshops, coaching sessions, and exploratory activities.

You won't deliver scripted content or monitor a virtual classroom in the conventional sense. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that inspire students to think critically, innovate, work together, and mature. Your mentorship will guide them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness initiatives, and critical thinking while nurturing independence, self-assurance, and executive capabilities.

This position isn't suited for educators seeking to transplant traditional schooling onto Zoom. It's designed for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, embrace a hybrid structure, and equip students with tools that genuinely prepare them for real life. If classroom busywork no longer serves you and you're ready for the most impactful work of your professional life, continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating engaging virtual workshops centered on essential life skills including communication, creativity, critical thinking, and self-management
  • Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate confidence, accountability, and executive function in students
  • Leveraging platform analytics and student feedback to tailor support and monitor development trajectories
  • Partnering with peer educators to create and refine project-based learning initiatives
  • Fostering a secure, energized atmosphere where students feel recognized, stretched, and inspired to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutors manage that component
  • Presenting scripted lectures or operating within a conventional classroom framework
  • Evaluating worksheets, assigning homework, or drafting standardized lesson plans
