Virtual Learning Facilitator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

  • Hybrid AZ · W2 · $60K/yr

Licensed educators ready to move beyond classroom administration and toward meaningful student development should continue reading.

Imagine a role where lesson plans, lectures, and grading no longer dominate your day—replaced entirely by mentorship that builds confident, self-reliant young people.

Unbound Academy has redesigned what teaching means. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that eliminates busywork and centers personal development. Core academics are completed independently by students using AI-powered platforms in just two focused hours each day. The remaining time is dedicated to real-world skill-building through facilitated workshops, coaching, and exploratory learning.

You will not deliver scripted content or monitor a virtual classroom for compliance. Instead, you'll facilitate high-energy online sessions designed to push students toward critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and personal growth. Your work will center on mentoring through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and applied problem-solving—helping students cultivate independence, confidence, and executive function.

This position is not intended for educators seeking to recreate conventional schooling in a virtual format. It is designed for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, operate within a hybrid structure, and guide students in ways that genuinely prepare them for adult life. If classroom busywork no longer satisfies you and you are ready for the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue below.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating interactive virtual workshops centered on life competencies including communication, creativity, problem-solving, and self-direction
  • Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate confidence, ownership, and executive functioning in students
  • Leveraging platform data and behavioral indicators to tailor support and monitor individual progress consistently
  • Partnering with peer educators to design and iteratively refine project-based learning initiatives
  • Establishing a secure, energizing environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutors manage those subjects
  • Conducting scripted lectures or operating within a traditional classroom framework
  • Evaluating worksheets, assigning homework, or drafting standardized lesson plans

Key responsibilities

Drive student development and life preparedness by facilitating transformative, real-world learning within a hybrid, fully virtual school environment.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to begin at the end of July 2026
  • Valid U.S. teaching certificate from any state, or an expired certificate that qualifies for reinstatement, with eligibility for Arizona certification
  • Strong virtual facilitation skills and confidence leading students through video platforms
  • Able to fulfill a hybrid role located in Arizona
