Instead, you will transform elite athletic principles into practical motivational tools, deliver resilience training through interactive workshops, and lead rigorous practice sessions where students are expected to meet championship-level standards.

What you will be doing
- Conducting proactive one-on-one coaching sessions where you convert your athletic discipline into concrete, actionable strategies for student development
- Leading high-energy morning assemblies that activate and engage the full student population
- Delivering hands-on workshops focused on life skills, where you guide students through exercises in resilience, leadership, and goal achievement
- Directing structured afternoon athletic training sessions that embody championship principles: creating drills, demanding effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through sport (not merely overseeing activity)
- Actively engaging with every student throughout each day: moving through spaces during independent study periods, intervening to motivate when you observe a student struggling, and generating teachable moments that catalyze breakthrough performance
What you will NOT be doing
- Observing from the sidelines in a symbolic capacity: this role demands active participation on the floor, direct student engagement, live session facilitation, and immediate intervention.
- Delivering traditional academic instruction or adhering to set curricula: students utilize adaptive learning platforms for academics. Your focus is life coaching, motivation, and cultivating meta-skills through athletics and mentorship.
Candidate requirements
- We are looking for former elite athletes with accomplishments at the highest competitive levels — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Documented experience leveraging sport to mentor and develop life skills in others
- Established track record of motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional contexts
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX
