School Operations Manager   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This position requires in-person presence at one of our campus locations.

Smooth campus operations are invisible when functioning properly. When they fail, the impact is felt by everyone. This position ensures that Alpha campuses function with reliability, safety, and precision—day in and day out.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking education systems. Our learning environments operate at speed. Our expectations are rigorous. That demands campus infrastructure that is structured, agile, and designed for growth. This position controls all non-instructional elements that enable students and Guides to excel.

In this capacity, you serve as the campus's operational foundation. You handle communication with parents and staff, manage safety and security protocols, maintain facility and logistical systems, and ensure reliable technology access for students and staff. You intervene when systems fail, identify potential problems early, and provide steady structure amid changing conditions.

This is not a limited administrative position. It is a hands-on, high-profile role suited for someone who excels with accountability, diversity of tasks, and execution. If you seek work where your choices directly impact student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role delivers genuine ownership and responsibility.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a central contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver prompt, clear, and professional communication
  • Directing campus safety functions including entry protocols, health events, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Coordinating daily campus logistics including attendance systems, transportation arrangements, facility upkeep, and office functions
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation of new personnel to guarantee operational preparedness immediately
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, functioning as the on-site Google Administrator and technology point person

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or influencing curriculum design
  • Functioning in a strictly clerical or limited-scope capacity
  • Working within a static or entirely routine setting
  • Escalating unresolved issues to others rather than taking ownership of solutions

Key responsibilities

Sustain secure, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience for students, staff, and families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field of study)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facility management, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology responsibilities including device configuration, problem resolution, and user account management
  • Effective written and spoken communication abilities when engaging parents, staff, and external vendors
  • Capability to balance multiple priorities while preserving accuracy and thoroughness
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Must be available to work on-site in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA, Chicago; IL or Fort Worth; TX
