Executive Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • On-site position in Dorado, Puerto Rico
  • Weekly compensation at 150,000 USD annually

If traditional school structures no longer challenge you and you refuse to compromise standards for comfort, this position will represent a clear departure. You will guide children and adults toward ambitious results through data and defined benchmarks, not through lectures or conventional lesson planning.

Alpha School is developing an AI-enabled framework in which students complete core academics in two hours daily, then dedicate their afternoons to cultivating practical life competencies. Our commitment is straightforward and rigorous: students enjoy school, accelerate learning by 2× compared to their peers, and develop real-world skills. This position exists to ensure that commitment becomes reality for every K–8 learner at our Dorado location.

You will remain operationally engaged. You will deliver one-hour life skills sessions, facilitate structured motivation activities that propel students through academic applications, and provide Guides with direct, actionable coaching. This is neither a conventional teaching assignment nor a detached leadership position. You will own outcomes, playbook adherence, and unwavering quality standards.

If you are prepared to lead by example and cultivate a campus environment where results are achieved through discipline, submit your application and demonstrate how you uphold excellence without exception.

What you will be doing

  • Deliver one-hour life skills sessions for K–8 students by preparing materials and executing activities precisely according to playbooks
  • Conduct structured motivation activities designed to drive student progress in academic applications and goal attainment
  • Monitor Guide performance in real time and provide standards-aligned coaching with specific improvement directives and accountability
  • Apply objective, metrics-based judgment to maintain mastery benchmarks, even in challenging situations
  • Work directly with on-campus staff daily to guarantee reliable execution of Alpha's 3 Promises

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deliver or tutor academic material using traditional classroom methods
  • Develop lesson plans or create original curriculum
  • Modify workshops on the fly or deviate from documented playbooks
  • Compromise mastery benchmarks or adjust targets to fabricate achievement
  • Manage from an office through administrative tasks while others engage directly with students

Key responsibilities

Ensure that every K–8 student at Alpha's Dorado campus reliably experiences Alpha's 3 Promises: they love school, learn 2× faster, and build life skills.

Candidate requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in Puerto Rico
  • Capacity to work full-time on-site at the Dorado, Puerto Rico campus
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of applicable experience coaching individuals to ambitious results
  • Proven experience working with children ages 5–14 in coaching, motivational, or youth development contexts
  • Demonstrated experience coaching or managing adult performance with defined standards and accountability mechanisms
  • Effective verbal communication skills tailored to K–8 learners
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making (leveraging metrics and analytics to guide strategy and maintain standards)
  • High-standards orientation with confidence delivering direct feedback and sustaining goals without compromise
