Alpha is opening a campus in one of California's most discerning, relationship-centric communities. This is not another private school differentiated by facilities. Students complete core academic work in two concentrated hours using AI-driven learning platforms, then dedicate the remainder of the day to developing public speaking ability, critical reasoning, and practical execution skills. Outcomes position students in the top 1% nationally. The approach is proven. The challenge is establishing credibility here.

From year zero through year one, this is a ground-up enrollment leadership position. In Santa Barbara, that requires building trust within close-knit social networks where reputation multiplies and errors persist. You will design intimate information sessions, conduct private campus visits, engage families in individual discussions, and deliberately assemble the founding cohort. After enrollment targets are met and an admissions director is onboarded, your role transitions to the campus's chief parent relations leader, safeguarding alignment and converting satisfied families into advocates within their circles.

This is not transactional recruitment. It is relationship-building at the highest standard. You must command respect with families who have access to any institution in the nation and who demand substantive responses to difficult questions about AI integration, screen exposure, and lasting impact. A single misaligned family can disrupt a 25-student cohort. Selectivity is essential.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the complete enrollment process from initial inquiry through executed enrollment agreement until 25 students are confirmed
  • Deliver tailored information sessions and private campus tours that attract aligned families while filtering out incompatible candidates
  • Establish visibility and credibility through daily face-to-face networking, individual consultations, and strategic community partnerships throughout Santa Barbara
  • Function as the principal point of contact for families, providing elevated, personalized service
  • Effectively communicate and defend Alpha's AI-driven educational model to discerning, questioning parents

What you will NOT be doing

  • Maintaining standard 9–5 hours; early mornings, late afternoons, and selected evening availability are necessary
  • Depending on an established admissions or marketing infrastructure to generate leads
  • Enrolling every applicant to achieve quotas; preserving cohort integrity takes precedence over enrollment volume
  • Operating primarily from an office; this position demands regular presence in the community

Key responsibilities

Recruit and enroll a 25-student founding cohort in Santa Barbara, then foster parent satisfaction and advocacy to sustain referral-driven growth over time.

Candidate requirements

  • Currently reside within commuting range of Santa Barbara or prepared to relocate within 60 days
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
  • 5+ years of experience engaging high-net-worth clients in consultative sales or premium client experience settings (private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropy, high-end services, etc.)
  • Proven track record managing a sales or enrollment pipeline with measurable conversion outcomes
  • Executive presence and communication capability appropriate for affluent, well-educated families
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working autonomously in an early-stage campus setting
  • Strong belief in AI-powered education and readiness to address concerns regarding screen time and unconventional educational approaches
  • Flexibility for early morning availability (7–9am), late afternoon engagement (2–4pm), evening commitments (2–3x monthly), and occasional weekend participation

  • Existing network within the Santa Barbara or Montecito area
  • Prior experience in private or independent school admissions management
  • Professional background in luxury real estate, development work, or major gifts fundraising
  • Early-stage or startup company exposure
  • Track record hosting upscale events or developing strategic community relationships
