Client Services Director   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions focus on driving numbers. This role is designed to uphold rigor.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely advance faster than national standards, with outcomes supported by measurable data. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, independent learning, and the development of practical competencies. The model is proven. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus—from initial inquiry to final onboarding. This is not a relay role. You own how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether they enroll for sound reasons. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize volume. The objective is to ensure alignment.

We welcome candidates from high-caliber service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership services, or entrepreneurs who have personally overseen high-stakes client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a nuanced, multi-phase process with discernment, transparency, and accountability.

If your career has been defined by delivering exceptional service where credibility, professionalism, and experience quality shape the brand, this role will resonate—applied now to work that drives meaningful change.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are recruiting in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Orange County, Roswell, Chicago, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach through onboarding completion.
  • Facilitating assessment-focused discussions to evaluate fit prior to advancing solutions or outlining next steps.
  • Stewarding 20+ concurrent family relationships across varying stages of enrollment, with transparent tracking and timely follow-through.
  • Delivering campus tours, student shadow visits, and decision-stage dialogues that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the intended audience for the model.
  • Keeping CRM and enrollment systems (HubSpot and SIS) current and accurate to enable forecasting, prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying volume-based or aggressive sales methods.
  • Enrolling families who lack alignment in order to meet quotas.
  • Leading a sizable team or working through complex organizational hierarchies.
  • Distributing family experience responsibilities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires physical presence on campus.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a trust-centered, selective enrollment process that successfully enrolls aligned families while safeguarding the quality and outcomes of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing high-caliber, individualized service in settings where client experience directly influences brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium memberships, or independently run service businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial engagement through final onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family engagements across multiple stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization method.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional writing experience communicating with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these markets: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Orange County, CA; Roswell, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • Track record of designing or optimizing enrollment workflows, service protocols, or operational standards.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion alignment, not simply velocity.
