Admissions Coordinator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Your success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with a parent within the opening moments of a conversation. This position suits individuals who find energy in outreach work, maintain consistency in follow-up, and communicate a nontraditional learning model with confidence rather than scripts. If phone-based communication feels uncomfortable or you prefer environments without measurable performance indicators, this opportunity will not align with your goals.

Unbound Academy operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that delivers education through a distinctive model. Core academic work is completed in concentrated time blocks supported by AI technology, allowing students to dedicate the remainder of their day to real-world skill development via projects and enrichment activities. You will serve as the primary point of contact for families considering this educational pathway.

Your weekly routine will include rapid response to incoming inquiries, guiding families step-by-step through admissions procedures, and advancing them from curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend local events on behalf of Unbound Academy to generate prospective leads and increase visibility within your community. During quieter enrollment periods, you will support operational functions while remaining prepared for the next admissions cycle.

If you seek a position where your communication skills, follow-through discipline, and personal ownership produce direct enrollment outcomes, we are interested in speaking with you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to newly submitted inbound leads within a 24-hour window and beginning admissions discussions via phone
  • Describing Unbound Academy's virtual structure and enrollment procedures using straightforward, accessible language
  • Sustaining regular follow-up activity to transition families from inquiry stage through application and into enrollment
  • Recording all engagement details in a CRM system with precise notes, defined next actions, and current pipeline status
  • Coordinating and leading community recruitment events in Texas or Arizona to introduce the school and collect new prospect information

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing incoming leads to remain uncontacted while addressing administrative backlog
  • Relying on inflexible call scripts or functioning like a high-volume transactional call center
  • Participating in events as an observer rather than actively presenting and capturing leads
  • Devoting most of your working hours to back-office tasks during periods of active enrollment activity

Key responsibilities

Transform emerging family interest into well-informed, qualified applicants who successfully complete the enrollment process at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona with availability to fulfill a hybrid work arrangement
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or similar customer-facing capacity
  • Prior work with children or families (including schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or comparable settings)
  • Comfortable initiating frequent phone conversations and navigating families through processes with multiple stages
  • Effective verbal communication abilities with capacity to quickly establish trust
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms or digital tools for lead tracking

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment coordination, inside sales, or lead qualification functions
  • Experience organizing or delivering presentations at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic training or professional background in communications, education, or adjacent disciplines
