Description

Success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with a parent within the first few minutes of conversation. You will thrive if you are motivated by outreach, diligent with follow-up, and comfortable presenting a new model of education without depending on scripts. This position will not be a good match if you shy away from phone-based work or prefer environments without measurable performance standards.

Unbound Academy operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that serves students through an alternative model. Core academics are completed in a concentrated block using AI-supported learning, allowing students to dedicate the remainder of their day to hands-on projects and enrichment activities that develop real-world skills. You will serve as the first significant point of contact for families considering this educational option.

Your weekly responsibilities include responding promptly to new inquiries, supporting families throughout the admissions process, and advancing them from curiosity to enrollment. You will also represent Unbound Academy at community events to generate leads and raise local awareness. During slower enrollment periods, you will support broader school operations while remaining prepared for the next admissions cycle.

If you are looking for a role where your communication skills, follow-through, and sense of ownership directly influence student enrollment outcomes, we would like to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound leads within 24 hours to begin the admissions conversation via phone
  • Describing Unbound Academy's virtual structure and enrollment procedures using clear, accessible language
  • Maintaining consistent follow-up to guide families from inquiry through application to final enrollment
  • Recording all interactions in a CRM with precise notes, defined next steps, and updated pipeline information
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment events in Texas or Arizona to introduce the school and gather new leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing inbound leads to remain uncontacted while you focus on administrative tasks
  • Relying on rigid scripts or functioning like a high-volume call center representative
  • Attending events in a passive capacity without actively presenting or collecting leads
  • Devoting most of your time to back-office duties during periods of active enrollment demand

Key responsibilities

Transform family interest into qualified, informed applicants who successfully complete enrollment at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona and available to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or a similar customer-facing position
  • Background working with children or families (examples include schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or related settings)
  • At ease making regular phone calls and supporting families through multi-step processes
  • Solid verbal communication abilities with a talent for building trust rapidly
  • Experience using CRM systems or digital tools for lead tracking

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification functions
  • Experience organizing or presenting at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic coursework or professional background in communications, education, or a related discipline
