Description

  • On-site position at an Alpha campus: Dallas, TX · Austin, TX · Oklahoma City, OK · Keller (Fort Worth), TX · The Woodlands (Houston), TX
  • $150,000 annual W2 salary, weekly pay cycle. Full health benefits begin day one.
  • Relocation assistance provided

The most valuable feedback you can give a student who scored 99% is that they haven't met the standard yet.

Not because perfection is the goal. Because genuine belief in someone's ability to improve is one of the most respectful acts possible.

Traditional schools shield students from failure. Alpha equips them for success. We understand that confidence doesn't emerge from reduced expectations. It develops when students accomplish what they previously believed impossible. This principle informs every choice we make.

Our approach is intentionally distinct. Students progress through academics independently via AI-powered platforms, which allows adults to concentrate on life-changing work: coaching character development, strengthening resilience, cultivating leadership, and establishing habits that produce exceptional results. We don't require adults to present content. We need leaders capable of drawing out the potential in others.

This position anchors that vision. You'll cultivate the Guides who engage students directly, transforming them into outstanding coaches rather than traditional instructors. You'll facilitate life skills workshops that students recall years afterward. You'll analyze performance metrics to pinpoint where students or Guides need support and coach them toward excellence. You'll also manage your own student cohort, demonstrating the standards you hold others to.

The impact multiplies exponentially. Each Guide you develop influences dozens of students. Every cultural enhancement you implement at your campus scales across hundreds of young lives. Success isn't defined by meeting attendance or report production. It's determined by whether students grow more confident, disciplined, resilient, and capable due to the environment you cultivated.

This position isn't designed for someone seeking to maintain the existing education system. It's built for someone convinced that young people deserve more than compliance, attendance requirements, and mediocre standards. If coaching people through challenging situations energizes you, if you use data to inform better decisions, and if you maintain high expectations because you truly believe others can reach them, this role will suit you well.

Apply if you're prepared to establish a culture where excellence is standard, coaching transforms lives, and students realize they're capable of achievements beyond their initial imagination.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and coach Guides to execute Alpha's coaching approach with consistency, enthusiasm, and rigorous standards.
  • Facilitate compelling life skills workshops addressing communication, concentration, feedback, leadership, and resilience for students in grades K-8 using established playbooks.
  • Analyze student and Guide performance metrics to recognize coaching needs, eliminate obstacles, and produce quantifiable improvements weekly.
  • Conduct motivation sessions that enable every student to embrace ambitious goals and reliably accomplish them.
  • Oversee your own student cohort while exemplifying the coaching quality and accountability you require from all Guides.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing academic subjects. Students progress through core academics autonomously via AI-powered learning platforms.
  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Your responsibility is outstanding coaching, not producing instructional content.
  • Controlling classrooms through lectures, worksheets, or behavior management systems. Students direct their own learning, and you coach the habits that enable success.
  • Reducing standards to avoid challenging discussions. High expectations and authentic belief in each student's capabilities are inseparable.
  • Defining success by activity rather than outcomes. Results carry more weight than effort by itself.

Key responsibilities

Establish a coaching environment where exceptional Guides reliably develop students who are passionate about school, achieve academic mastery at an advanced rate, and cultivate the resilience, leadership, and life skills necessary to excel well beyond the classroom.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work on campus in Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; or The Woodlands (Houston), TX (relocation assistance available).
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline.
5+ years leading adults in education, learning and development, youth leadership, coaching, or similar performance-focused environments.
  • Documented success managing teams of five or more individuals, including recruitment, coaching, performance oversight, and challenging accountability discussions.
  • Direct experience working with children ages 5-14 in educational, developmental, athletic, or youth leadership contexts.
  • Proven record of building, launching, scaling, or substantially improving a program, team, school, business, or initiative.
  • Confirmed ability to leverage performance metrics and data to identify problems, prioritize interventions, and achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline.
  • Background coaching athletics, facilitating outdoor or experiential education, managing camps, youth programs, or other cohort-based organizations.
  • Experience developing or directing innovative education, EdTech, tutoring, nonprofit, or learning initiatives beyond conventional classroom instruction.
  • Personal track record of exceptional performance in academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or leadership.
  • Deep belief that education should cultivate capable, resilient, independent young people rather than merely transmit academic content.
