Technical Operations Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You are not interested in "supporting operations." You want to control the operational engine that enables a rapidly expanding education platform to onboard new schools without compromising billing accuracy, data integrity, or first-day access. If you excel at converting chaotic, manual workflows into streamlined systems that function autonomously, continue reading. If you prefer a constrained role limited to executing predefined playbooks, this position will not suit you.

2 Hour Learning is demonstrating that education can function differently. Through an AI tutor and individualized learning pathways, students complete core academics in only two hours per day, achieving results that rank them in the top 1–2% nationally. Supporting that outcome is a critical operational reality: new schools require rapid onboarding, accurate billing, and consistent reporting across multiple systems and varied launch schedules.

In this position, you will control the complete school onboarding operation (SIS configuration, rostering, credential management, testing coordination, platform preparation). You will manage billing and accounts receivable through systems such as NetSuite and Stripe. You will also construct automated data pipelines and weekly executive reporting by integrating tools like SIS, HubSpot, and financial platforms. Your competitive advantage is automation: you will leverage AI and tools such as Python, Apps Script, Zapier, or Make to eliminate recurring manual tasks.

If you seek quantifiable ownership, direct external customer interaction, and the authority to automate everything that should not require manual execution, apply.

What you will be doing

  • Manage complete onboarding processes for new schools, including SIS setup, rostering, credential distribution, testing configuration (MAP/NWEA), and launch preparedness
  • Control invoicing and accounts receivable operations, including payment link generation, invoice scheduling, reconciliation processes, and outstanding balance monitoring
  • Construct and maintain automated reporting pipelines that consolidate data from SIS, HubSpot, NetSuite, and other operational systems into weekly executive reports
  • Create and deploy automation workflows using AI and tools such as Python, Apps Script, Zapier, or Make to remove repetitive operational tasks
  • Coordinate daily with school contacts, finance teams, and internal stakeholders to clear obstacles and maintain progress on launches, billing, and reporting

What you will NOT be doing

  • Manually recreating identical reports each week
  • Serving as a project coordinator without genuine operational accountability for results
  • Performing operations with only internal significance while others handle actual school-facing responsibilities
  • Expanding your workload by introducing additional manual steps rather than automating the workflow

Key responsibilities

This role exists to enable new schools to be onboarded, billed, and operated at scale through automated, dependable, repeatable operations and reporting.

Candidate requirements

  • Ability to work full-time remotely with at least 6 hours overlap with US business hours on weekdays
  • Experience managing client, customer, or partner onboarding workflows across multiple steps and systems
  • Experience generating invoices and managing billing and accounts receivable processes
  • Experience building automated reports or data pipelines using spreadsheets, scripts, and/or analytics tools
  • Demonstrated active use of AI tools to automate or accelerate operational work
  • Strong written communication skills for coordinating with external partners and internal teams

Nice to have

  • Experience working with HubSpot, NetSuite, and/or Stripe in an operations, billing, or reporting capacity
  • Experience integrating data across systems (CRM, SIS, billing) to produce operational dashboards
  • Comfort coordinating testing setup workflows (MAP/NWEA) as part of school or program onboarding
