Most construction project managers follow schedules. This role requires you to control them—and recover when circumstances disrupt them.
2 Hour Learning is building a nationwide network of microschools that deliver a complete day of education in only two hours through AI. This approach relies on rapid, accurate execution in physical spaces. Any permitting holdup, on-site sequencing error, or coordination gap impedes growth. This position eliminates those obstacles and transforms construction into a reliable, scalable process.
You will operate on-site to deliver projects. Manage contractors. Hold teams to schedules. Resolve sequencing conflicts before they cascade into delays. You will also leverage AI and digital platforms to minimize manual overhead, enhance transparency, and speed delivery. This is not observational oversight. You are the individual who intervenes when progress stalls and restores momentum.

What you will be doing
- Manage on-site construction workflows, partnering directly with contractors to confirm work proceeds in proper sequence and on time
- Control and enforce timelines, monitoring key milestones, surfacing risks proactively, and implementing corrective measures when schedules fall behind
- Deploy platforms such as Procore, Asana, or MS Project to organize tasks, maintain documentation, and track progress on concurrent builds
- Facilitate permitting processes by monitoring submissions, addressing reviewer comments, and engaging stakeholders to advance approvals
- Incorporate AI tools to streamline planning, documentation, and decision workflows, cutting manual labor and increasing execution velocity
What you will NOT be doing
- Monitoring dashboards passively without stepping in when schedules begin to slip
- Overseeing projects from a distance without grasping field conditions and sequencing dependencies
- Depending on legacy, manual methods for progress tracking or team communication
- Sidestepping hard discussions with contractors or stakeholders when timelines are jeopardized
- Delaying action on problems while waiting for complete clarity
Key responsibilities
Ensure punctual delivery of school construction projects by directing on-site coordination, maintaining schedule discipline, and enhancing speed and reliability through technology and AI.
Candidate requirements
- Hands-on background in construction delivery (on-site coordination, contractor oversight, or schedule management) with the ability to walk through a specific project, your contribution, and how you addressed execution obstacles
- Proven ownership or coordination of a project schedule, including developing timelines, monitoring milestones, and upholding deadlines, with at least one case of addressing a delay or variance
- Competence with a minimum of one digital project management platform (e.g., Procore, Asana, MS Project) and the capacity to detail how it was applied on an actual project
- Familiarity with construction trade sequencing and the ability to recount a scenario where sequencing choices affected the project schedule
- Practical understanding of permitting procedures (submissions, reviews, revisions, AHJ engagement) with direct participation in at least one cycle
- Documented application of AI tools to expedite tangible work assignments, including a concrete example of the tool employed, the output produced, and the validation method used
- Availability and readiness to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week, with roughly 60% travel throughout the United States depending on project requirements
- Based in the United States and eligible to work without requiring visa sponsorship
