Student Success Coach   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You've tested your limits—whether in athletics, the arts, or business. Now you're prepared to channel that discipline into meaningful impact. As a student success coach at GT Anywhere, you'll mentor students to achieve what seems impossible: embrace learning, accelerate their progress, and develop into confident, independent thinkers. And you'll deliver this from any location worldwide.

GT Anywhere is a virtual school designed for gifted learners eager to advance at their own pace. We combine AI-driven instruction with personalized coaching to provide what conventional education cannot: unlimited academic velocity, rigorous depth across sciences and humanities, and a network of intellectually matched peers. In this Student Success Coach role, you'll mentor 3rd–8th graders who are driven to move faster. You won't be delivering lessons—our technology manages that. You're the coach who cultivates confidence, maintains high standards, and unlocks each student's full potential. Every coaching session is significant. Every milestone matters.

If you've reached elite levels in any domain—sports, performance, research, or commerce—and you're ready to empower the next generation to do likewise, this opportunity is for you.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting biweekly one-on-one virtual coaching conversations with each student, centered on setting academic goals, building motivation, and strengthening mindset
  • Hosting open office hour sessions where students can drop in for live support, guidance, or problem-solving
  • Leveraging AI-powered tools and performance dashboards to monitor student advancement, spot obstacles, and refine your coaching techniques
  • Documenting observations, red flags, and tactical adjustments to keep every student on an accelerated growth path
  • Working closely with your coaching team to exchange best practices, flag concerns, and continuously refine the coaching framework

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing courses, evaluating assessments, or distributing assignments—our platform manages the curriculum
  • Presenting lectures or adhering to a prescribed syllabus
  • Hand-holding or over-managing unmotivated learners—we coach, we don't hover
  • Attending redundant meetings or navigating bureaucratic processes
  • Settling for mediocrity—this team is designed for individuals who aspire to excel and create real impact

Key responsibilities

Produce quantifiable academic progress and student engagement for virtual learners through consistent, high-impact mindset coaching within a fully remote, technology-enabled environment.

Candidate requirements

  • Master's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
  • Demonstrated excellence in any discipline—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
  • Strong virtual communication skills and capacity to build rapport with students rapidly via Zoom/Google Meet
  • Proficient in using dashboards and technology platforms to monitor and optimize performance
  • Capability to sustain at least 80 percent overlap with US business hours

Nice to have

  • PhD in any field
  • Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work
  • Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families
