Admissions Coordinator   $50,000 USD/year

Description

Your success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with a parent within minutes of starting a conversation. This position is designed for someone who thrives on outreach, maintains consistency in follow-up, and can confidently communicate a new learning model without depending on scripts. If you tend to avoid phone-based communication or prefer positions without measurable performance standards, this role will not align with your preferences.

Unbound Academy operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that supports students through a distinct educational model. Core academics are completed in a concentrated time block with AI-supported learning, allowing students to dedicate the remainder of their day to real-world skill development via projects and enrichment activities. You will serve as the first significant contact point for families considering this educational option.

Your weekly responsibilities will include responding promptly to new inquiries, shepherding families through the admissions process, and advancing them from initial curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend local events on behalf of Unbound Academy to generate fresh leads and increase community awareness. During slower enrollment periods, you will support school operations while remaining prepared for the next admissions cycle.

If you are seeking a position where your communication skills, follow-through, and accountability have a direct effect on student enrollment, we would like to speak with you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound leads within a 24-hour window and starting admissions discussions by phone
  • Describing Unbound Academy's virtual model and enrollment procedures using clear, accessible language
  • Maintaining regular follow-up to advance families from inquiry through application to final enrollment
  • Recording all interactions in a CRM with detailed notes, defined next steps, and current pipeline status
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment events in Arizona or Texas to introduce the school and collect new leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing inbound leads to remain uncontacted while focusing on administrative tasks
  • Relying on rigid scripts or functioning like a high-volume call center
  • Participating in events passively without actively presenting or capturing leads
  • Devoting most of your time to back-office tasks when enrollment activity is high

Key responsibilities

Transform new family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully complete enrollment at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona and available to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or a similar customer-facing position
  • Background working with children or families (such as schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or comparable settings)
  • Comfortable placing frequent phone calls and leading families through multi-step procedures
  • Excellent verbal communication abilities with a talent for building trust rapidly
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems or digital lead tracking platforms

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification functions
  • Experience organizing or presenting at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic coursework or professional background in communications, education, or a related discipline
