Student Enrollment Specialist   $50,000 USD/year

Description

If you can establish credibility with a parent within the opening moments of a phone call, this role will suit you well. This position requires someone who thrives on outreach, maintains disciplined follow-up habits, and can articulate an innovative educational model without reading from a script. If you tend to avoid phone-based communication or prefer environments without measurable outcomes, this opportunity is not for you.

Unbound Academy operates as a tuition-free virtual public charter school that delivers education through a distinct framework. Students work through their core curriculum in condensed time blocks supported by AI-driven tools, then dedicate the remainder of their day to hands-on skill development via projects and enrichment activities. You will serve as the primary introduction for families considering this alternative.

Your week will involve prompt responses to new inquiries, walking families through each stage of the admissions pathway, and guiding them from curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend community events on behalf of Unbound Academy to create new opportunities and raise local visibility. During quieter enrollment periods, you will support broader school functions while remaining prepared for the next enrollment cycle.

If you are looking for a position where your clarity, reliability, and accountability directly shape enrollment outcomes, we would like to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound leads within a 24-hour window and beginning the admissions dialogue by phone
  • Presenting Unbound Academy's virtual structure and enrollment requirements using straightforward, accessible language
  • Maintaining steady follow-up cadence to advance families from interest through application to final enrollment
  • Recording all engagement in a CRM with detailed notes, defined next actions, and updated pipeline status
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment events across Texas or Arizona to introduce the school and gather prospective leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing new leads to sit idle while you address administrative backlog
  • Reading from fixed scripts or functioning like a transactional call center agent
  • Showing up to events as an observer rather than an active presenter or lead generator
  • Devoting most of your time to internal operations when enrollment activity is in full swing

Key responsibilities

Turn family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully enroll at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona and available for a hybrid work arrangement
  • 1–2 years of customer service or comparable customer-facing experience
  • Background working with children or families (e.g., schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or equivalent settings)
  • At ease making regular phone calls and shepherding families through multi-phase procedures
  • Capable verbal communication with the ability to establish rapport rapidly
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms or digital lead management systems

Nice to have

  • Prior involvement in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead development positions
  • Experience organizing or delivering presentations at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic study or professional background in communications, education, or a related discipline
